I work for a electronic circuit manufacturing company which has Hakko soldering irons. We needed this device to hold the different soldering tips we use. Work as described.

It is pretty heavy and holds tips perfectly, I use it not only for T15 tips (FM-2027 holder), but for T30 as well (T30 tips). It allows me to swop the tips quickly and without thinking about possible damages on the plastic items around or the tiny (0.1 mm R) tip end. I love this item, got two - for work and home use.

It's Hakko and you expect quality from them. Let's be honest though this is really just to hold tips. You can find used ones for about 15 bucks and they look the same only a few chips of paint missing so this will last. It you're looking for something new buy this. If you don't mind a few spots of paint missing get a used one.

Machined well and painted nicely. Has some weight to keep it from tipping over. Also a handy storage space in the center if you have more tips than it can hold int the perimeter. Worth the 17 bucks if you have several tips. Also holds other over the heater tips without them falling in.

It is solid metal and it great for hot swapping tips. The paint finish seems very durable and it feels nice.I love having this and being able to just swap out my tips on the fly and throw the hot one back in its spot without issue.

Solid piece! Heavy and keeps the tips in place. Each hole is notched at different depths so you can easy extract the tips with hand pieces on them and not have them catch on each othet.
