Fit both the engine block and the connecting hose perfectly. Came with o-ring and clamp....

Just got around to replacing the OEM plastic water hose fitting with this one. The OEM past will tend to fail (break) so replacing it with a more durable one if advised. This replacement part is completely metal expect for the rubber o-ring, of course. The machining is really good.Only downside is the o-ring is larger than the OEM one. It was a VERY tight fit. Make sure the o-ring is properly lubed (use silicon paste or a water-base lubricant) before installing it. This will make it easier to insert as well as prevent any damage to the o-ring. If you are replacing the OEM part early, you could probably get away with reusing the old o-ring. OR you might be better off just ordering the OEM o-ring and save yourself the headache with fighting with the install.Great for the most part. Would be perfect if the o-ring was to OEM spec.Update: The o-ring failed after a few weeks. Because of the oversize o-ring it tore at one section causing a leak. I didn't catch it because once it was seated and installed there was no way to check unless I took it apart. Again, do yourself a favor a get the OEM o-ring and don't bothered trying to force install with the stock o-ring.

Take it from other reviewers, this is definitely an improvement over the oem part, the oem plastic part gets very brittle cause of high temperatures. I purchased the OEM gasket instead of the one provided, they look similar but I'd rather play it safe and avoid future leaks. Overall the fitment is perfect and fell right into place on my N54.

Great product. The original plastic fitting broke off as soon as I tried to take if the hose. Order this right away. Very snug fit. Easy to install and has been working as it should for a couple months now.-07 bmw 335i.Would definitely recommend

What I like is that the part is metal and not a plastic piece. Was easy to install on my BMW. Great price. Save me a lot of money by not going to dealer for this part.

Initial review: 20180831, 14:50, I'm giving it a neutral 3 stars because the packaging doesn't list all the vehicles it fits on the label. I can only assume it fits a 335i but until I install it, I don't know for sure. Even though the install procedure is pretty simple, including some basic step by step instructions and maybe a listing of the tools necessary to complete the installation on a piece of paper would be nice. This is a pretty beefy part and and so far I'm satisfied. I'll update this review after I do the installation.20180831, 19:12... This was a very easy replacement.I used a Leatherman, some dental picks to scrape out the remnants of the obsolete/insufficient OEM part, and a 10mm socket. I'd suggest anyone who has an N54 to do this replacement as a preventative measure.

Ingenious design, and very affordable. This part helped me avoid having to buy the entire coolant hose, and do the difficult removal on the lower end. Only the top failed on my old one, so I just installed this part up top, and attached the existing hose. Works perfect. It is slightly difficult to seat the rubber seal into the engine block, but I just installed the two mounting bolts and slowly tightened each side, back and forth evenly. Super fast repair, works perfectly, and wont break again like the OEM plastic one. Just remember to prime your water pump when done installing. Look up the procedure.

The top of my house cracked when I was replacing those pesky coolant and and oil gasket. This is a better upgrade to the OEM and the cost can't be beat. Was a little concerned that it would not fit my 2008 528i but it worked easily and it was not difficult to replace.
