I wanted to keep my engine's OEM external pull starter covering to keep the color scheme (blue) the same. So, I removed the guts of the new one and put them in the old cover. The setup works perfectly!

Extremely disappointed in this product. I bought it to replace a pull start with a broken string. This one only lasted 3 starts before the handle broke, then we fixed the handle, and the string broke. I am 4 days outside of the Amazon return window and now I am back in the same position I started in.
