I really like this thing. I never thought I would say that about some cheap little gun sock but it basically is like this sleeve of a sweatshirt sewn up with a zipper on the end that you can put in put a rifle in. I'm getting a bunch of these for my rifles while we're traveling.

These "dust socks" are good protection for your rifles and shotguns while in storage. They breath and keep moisture issues at bay. They are light weight and offer some protection from contact with other objects, but I don't recommend them as a substitute for a good gun case when transporting. They are easy to use and easily slip on and off over scopes, clips, etc. They are made of quality material and should last for many years. I have several and am happy with how well they perform.

First tried it on a rifle that has a larger scope 35mm body and 60mm main objective on mid height mounting rings. And it was just too tight (similar to some other socks I have). But did fit well over another one with a smaller scope and lower rings. Length is more than adequate for just about any riffle. I ended up putting in on my muzzleloader that had no scope.

This is a nice stretchy gun sock that is suitable for rifles and shotguns (with or without a scope). At 55 inches, it will also hold my black powder Kentucky long rifle. The silicone treatment should make the sock water resistant (NOT water proof) so it will be protected from light rain or snow for a short period (from your house to your vehicle, for example). There is a tie string at the open end to secure it around your firearm. The seam stitching is well done with no loose threads. Just remember this sock is not padded, it is simply a knit cloth cover.
