This cost over $100 and the quality is poor. The scraper attachment is rusted after only two weeks. Very upsetting. Also, it barely holds on through the glass. I really expected more.

My 73 gallon bow front had colonies of algae that normally take tons of scrubbing to remove. This is giant, but if you slowly slide the pieces together and apart, it is easy to add and remove from the tank every time. Just a few passes had my tank front totally clear. It does take a bit of oomph to get it going and you do want to avoid the sealant and the gravel (stop immediately and remove even one piece of gravel if it gets between the pieces). I know after one use that this was worth the money.

Expensive, but we needed it. Love the new design with attached scraper. I hadn't read directions before buying, and it says not to leave it in the tank. I guess the razorblade will rust or something. Our tank is tall, so taking things in and out of it is difficult and messy, but it is what it is. Great product. The packaging of it was HORRIBLE, though. TONS of plastic, and impossible to open. Got cut on the packaging. Very sharp plastic. If we didn't need it, I thought of returning it because the packaging was awful...then buying in store or having tank maintenance person bring an open one for us to purchase. Easy to use, impossible (and hazardous) to open.

I was sold on this product after reading 2 or 3 reviews. We have an 150 gallon and some tough algae! We had the size just under this one and the magnet was not strong enough to really scrub. This one got all the hard algae off the minute we put it in there. (with some elbow grease of course) You do need to be careful with how you put it on the glass, it does snap together really hard, so watch your fingers! We have yet to you it with the scraper. It works great without it, we were just scared to scratch the glass.

This thing is AMAZING. I was using a medium Mag-Float before this and also using a "Kent Marine Pro-Scraper" for a scraper. Now it's an ALL-IN-ONE combo. It was absolutely worth the money!Note:Be careful with this as the magnet is VERY strong. You could really hurt yourself if you let this pinch you. I would also be careful not to let this "snap" to the glass. Put it on the glass close to the other side and slide them together. I was honestly afraid I might bust my tank if I just let this thing snap together.Works great!

I do not ever right reviews but this thing is AMAZING. I wanted to purchase a long time ago but was skeptical about the price. If you have ever used mag-float products before, you know they are great quality. This thing scrapes off all the algae, even the ones that i spent hours trying to get out by hand with a scrubber. It works great in both my fresh and salt tanks. If your on the fence about purchasing, dont hesitate anymore. You wont be disappointed. Also, I bought another one that claimed to do the same thing and it was the worst one I ever bought, and it was about almost as much as this one. It had a plastic blade that did nothing.GREAT PRODUCT!!

Very strong magnet - with some technique can go around 90 degree aquarium corners easily. Be careful if you ever take it out of the tank, it's a strong magnet and could shatter smacking up against either it's counterpart, or against a metal surface. Keep the spacer around. The scraper is basically an open razor blade - careful. I took it off and never needed it.
