These lights are so practical for under kitchen cabinets. I had bought some that required 8 AAA batteries each and they didn't last more than 5 days. I haven't installed them yet but even if I need to recharge weekly I am saving money. They charged within 2 hours out of the box. Will update when I install them. By the way, instructions for various settings are on each unit and are easy to understand.

These lights work well, are bright enough and stay charged for about a week if the motion sensor stays on all day. If the motion sensors are on only at night, they are charged for about 2 weeks. The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is that after a year, they don't charge as well. I have to play around with the charger cord position before it will stay on and keep a charge.

Reviewed run the USA. Review Date 02-March-2023Purchased: 2 each 21-December-2022Purchased: 2 each 17-January-2023I have purchased four of these rechargeable utility lights and I decided to give them a “road test” before submitting my review, as I have had poor performance from another brand of battery powered utility light in the recent past.We are using these lights as under counter lighting in our lower kitchen cabinets (including under sink). We also installed them in a large closet which we are using as a food storage pantry. The areas where these lights are used are frequently accessed.IMPRESSIONS:PRO:After roughly three months of use, we are extremely pleased with: *The brightness of these lights *The performance of the rechargeable batteries. *The ease & speed re: battery charging process. The lighting units come with a magnetic strip with adhesive on one side to install upon the surface you intend for the lights to be used. The magnetic side is used to hold the lights in place until recharging is required. At this point you remove the lights from the magnetic strip and attach them to a USB charger.USB Chargers are not included, as I recall.USB Charging cables are included. The initial charge time for these lights was between 1 & 2 hours. I have not had to recharge them in the time they have been in use. I consider this to be fantastic performance! The most important aspect of these lights for us is the brightness they provide.I do not recall the number of linens cited by the manufacturer, but we have been extremely pleased!CON:The only issue I have discovered with these units is that the adhesive used on the metal strips for attachment to the cabinet or drywall surface is not great.I can understand the rationale used in the decision to apply a lower strength adhesive as if someone wanted to remove these lights at a later date, pulling the finish off of the cabinets, or pulling the paint and drywall paper off the wall would be a painful experience 😖.FINAL ANALYSIS:We wholeheartedly recommend these rechargeable lights. They are a great value.

I put two of these into 6ft tall display cabinets, and one in a closet. - In the display cabinets, the magnets in the lights stuck directly to the underside of the steel tops of the cabinets, which made installation absolutely trivial. The cabinets are about 30 inches wide and 12 inches deep, with glass shelves, and they are lit up very attractively with these lights. - My display cabinets have glass doors and glass sides, but the lights only come on when you open the doors, not when you just walk by the cabinets: this is perfect for me. I'm guessing this means the motion-detecting signal doesn't transmit through glass, but that's just a guess. - In the closet, just one of these is a little dim. The door is 8ft tall, and the lowest I could put it was a little above the door, and the closet is not small, around 3.5ft wide and 2.5 ft deep, with of course a lot of stuff in it, so just one of these is better than nothing but it doesn't fill the closet with light. Two would probably do a good job, but I'm not going to purchase another 3-pack just to get one more. Installation in the closet was pretty easy as well, turns out there are two magnets in the light so I just attached two steel right-angle brackets directly above the door (in the correct positions for the magnets) then just stuck the light on the brackets. - In both cases, the motion sensors detect the movement of the doors, so the lights come on when I open the doors just like I wanted. They stay on for maybe 30 seconds after motion ceases (after the door closes). - Charging is micro USB: pull a light down, plug it in, a red light comes on to show it's charging but not charged up, when charging is complete the light turns green. Doesn't get any simpler. - The light does not operate while charging, so you can't install these with an always-connected charger, you must let them run on battery and charge when needed.

I did a bit of research and these under cabinet lights got great reviews, so I ordered 9 of them. Well, they certainly did not disappoint, they’re brilliant. 3 different shades of light, magnetic fit, a daytime setting and a night time setting, easy to recharge and last 2 to 3 weeks between USB charging. Excellent!
