Replaced this O ring behind my oil cooler on my 2000 NB1 miata and it fit perfectly. You have to compare yours with the new one because man mine was all flat and oil soaked. Mine wasn't leaking too much if at all but I was doing an oil change anyways and since you have to take off the filter to get there, I wasn't going to waste oil.Get a 1 1/8" 6 point socket and some universal joints + extensions to help you get this off. A long skinny ratchet with the socket on it coming in from the front should get the nut off but anyway you do it, just get the job done.I will warn you, don't bother taking the coolant lines off of the filter housing unless you plan on draining your entire car. For some reason a lot will come out and won't stop. I was going to take it off because it was really caked but I left it on and cleaned it that way. See pics.

You need this. Plan on replacing this o-ring several times during the life of the car. Remove the front passenger side tire, intake manifold support bracket, oil filter and oil cooler to get access.

Perfect fit for my '99 Miata. A word of caution - the oil cooler this fits with does not hold it perfectly until in place. Make sure it is fully in the slot before bolting the cooler in place.

Stopped the oil leak on my Miata - old ring had the slightest crack but dumped oil near the oil cooler when the engine was cold.
