Having been a gardener for more than 50 years, I like to try out new products.This looked as though it might be of use .... but alas, it was not.Simply letting seedlings dry a bit before removing from the divided plastic planting flats as shown in the pictures associated with this item, is faster and easier for me.Perhaps this product would be of use to a beginner.I'd return it, except that I bought it too early and by the time my seedlings were ready to set in.Above is a photo of my garden.

Would not recommend. could not really grip & it wasn't very effective. I had a much easier time using a skinny spade in the seedling cells.

I love these tongs, for lifting seedlings out of the tray cells with less damage to roots.
