I started out bolting this headboard directly to my bed frame. It fit in terms of width but only just. You can see in the pictures how the hardware was positioned at the maxed out horizontal adjustment in order to fit, so that was fine. The problem I had was that the screw length in the hardware was too short to fit the nuts on since they didn’t protrude past the other side at all. I was lucky to be able to work around that by using some riv-nuts and large washers but almost nobody will have these on hand. See pics again.Once I did all this work and got the headboard bolted squarely and securely on the frame I laid in bed to try it out. Unfortunately I found the sturdiness of the headboard to be inadequate and allowed too much movement. I triple checked all the hardware for tightness but the problem is that wood material used for the two supports from the bed frame to the headboard is just too soft. What I did is unbolt it from the frame and place it against the wall for now and it’s much less noisy and doesn’t move. Now I’m planning on bolting it directly to the wall for a more permanent solution. Otherwise I like the height of the head board, I like the material and color, and the price was great.

my girlfriend mentioned that a headboard helps in college - so we got this and used command strip tape on the wall and zip tied this to the side of his bed is lofted and he told me this has made all the difference and he is so glad he has the headboard to study and sit up in bed - it also dresses up his room a lot - price is great nad it is study and not cheap looking at all - harder to find colors subtitle for boys’ room but this did the trick with his color scheme of blue, greys and green. But know you will need to adhere it to the bed if a dorm room!!.

I was looking for a head board for a spare bedroom and came across this well priced and good looking full size head board. Came a couple days after ordering decently packed and with no damage. Easy assembly, came with all the nuts, bolts and washers and the Allen wrenches to tighten. Two bolts each to the legs to attach them to head board. Two more each to attach to bedframe. I did have an issue with the top bolt connecting to the frame on each side being too long and really digging into the box spring. I found a couple spare bolts lying around that were shorter to keep from damaging the box spring fabric. I also needed a wrench to hold the nut while I turned the bolt with the allen wrench so ot completely tool free. No big deal. All done, looks great and supper happy with .y new headboard.
