Despite replacing every fuel system component on my Jeep, it smelled like gas so bad I could not park it in the garage. After 6 months of troubleshooting the smell including 2 smoke tests that did not show any problems, a mechanic friend recommended replacing these new hoses. He suspected they were made of silicone which does not leak fuel but is permeable and will leak the vapors. Sure enough I swapped out these hoses with ones from a reputable auto parts supplier and the smell is gone and I can now park my Jeep in the garage again.

Both are 50% correct for a 99 xj, they have the correct diameter for the filler and breather tubes at the frame, but are too big (filler) and too small (breather) diameter for the tank side. Pretty neat to find out after tearing this all apart.

I ordered these as it was easier to just cut the old ones off than to try and pull them off the barbs on the tank and filler neck. They fit well on my '92 XJ. With a bit of WD-40 they slid right on and the bends in them matched the cherokee originals well.They also had a bit more flex than the rubber ones I've used in the past making reinstallation of the tank easier. As with others that have stated this make sure you get the tank side clamps on tight and before installing the tank, then once you get the tank up and hoses through the frame rail slip on the other clamps. Wet the filler piece with some kind of lube and shove them on. I found pinching them helped them to slide on nice and easy.Pretty happy with them, we'll see how they hold up to modern fuels.

Fit great on 1990 Xj, didn’t come with hose clamps. You’ll hate trying to install without dropping tank a little but I’m sure you’ll love them.
