I ordered this kit specifically for the mix of seeds included and I am happy I did. I started some of each kind of seed and got really good germination rates and time (the strawberries lagged behind but they are starting to catch up). The plants are healthy and robust. I will be moving them outside when the weather improves, and will be happy to be starting my garden with such flourishing plants. I highly recommend this kit.

I've been growing with hydroponics for almost 10 years when they fist came out with these compact self-contained sets. I have two units right now with 10-17 pods and I've been pretty successful. This is a great replacement kit that allows you to keep trying new methods and keep going with the successes without trying to reuse the sponges and other stuff. This kit has everything you need except for the hydroponics unit and it works with my generic units as it does presumable with the other ones the marketing mentions. The differential advantage for this kit seems to be that it comes with a few seeds, which is great. They mention 80% germination rate and I can attest to that. The seeds look healthy (you can kind of see it in the pic). For $20, this is a pretty good value, though, not amazing considering all these component parts should be pretty cheap.

I'm pretty blown away impressed with this kit. I love my AeroGarden but I don't like using their nutrients whatsoever. So these replacement kids are great plus they come with a really nice variety. My kit included red and golden cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and strawberries. I really like that the nutrients come in a pelleted form and you just add water. Making this kit much more shelf stable if you're not going to use it right away you don't have to worry about the nutrients expiring. The peat plugs mine came in great shape I bought these kits in the past and sometimes they're broken not the case with this kit. Also I'd like to mention that the plastic net pots are actually nicer than the AeroGarden replacements. Fantastic kit for the price point. They even come with the little humidity domes (some kits do not) and everything you need. Very easy to use comes with instructions and nice packaging. It's minimal which is good for the environment and I like that too! I just got my AeroGarden out of storage so I will be terminating these very soon and will be updating shortly. For now I do recommend this kit based on the quality of all the items and the packaging and the instructions. They went through a lot of trouble to make a nice little kit. I recommend this product and thanks for taking the time to read my review

Very easy to use and works well in my Aerogarden, being you get everything needed "8 grow sponges, 8 grow baskets, 8 grow domes, 8 foil stickers, and A&B plant food" and a variety of seeds in this kit which included 2 varieties of tomato both red and golden cherry tomato, red strawberry and cucumber which I feel for all in all in what you receive plenty of seeds this is a decent value. So I tried the germination process two different ways, one was following an optional recommended germination process that involved paper and a plastic bag, the other way I used was seeds straight into the pods into the Aerogarden and while both techniques worked the seeds (red cherry tomato) germinated and sprouted much faster in the Aerogarden and was definitely at least twice as fast in growth as the paper in the plastic bag method, the sprouts had leaves peaking from the top in the Aerogarden in no time, although I know the plastic bag and paper method was to start a germination process. These are far to young to reap the fruits so taste will be in the future once the plants mature enough to produce but so far so good it seems off to a pretty good start.

It comes with two plant foods and was easy to setup. The kit is nice and comes with little tweezers. The pods are a cool spongey material, not loose dirt which is great. The strawberries grow verrrrrry slow but that’s not the manufacturers fault. The climber grew the quickest! I gave this four stars because I was irritated with the instructions. I did all the steps and at the very end it says “for faster germination put between wet tissue paper then transplant” well gee I wish I read that tip first! I also can’t rate it 5 stars until I see the fruit and veggies grow and I taste them. But I like amount of seeds and pods we got and how it works with my OG Aerogarden! Great value for the money since you get a lot of seeds, pods, tweezers, and the plant food.

This is a good starter pack for people with an AeroGarden after they have grown whatever came in the box.It has eight full (disassembled) pods to use, plant food, and seeds.Interestingly the plant food comes as dry pellets in the bottles. You fill up the bottle with distilled water and shake it to make it into liquid plant food. Cool - avoids a mess if the bottle would leak during transport - and it saves weight. The seeds come in its own package and the peat pods are empty, so you put in the seed yourself. So technically if you want to grow something else this is still a good product. It's like an empty starter pack with some seeds just to get you going. For all of the seeds (cucumber might be the exception) I would put in at least 3 in each pod. That way if a seed doesn't germinate you still have backups. Later on you can trim off the smaller plants. For the types of seeds supplied most of them will probably not work very well in my Sprout AeroGarden because tomato plants grow way bigger than the max height of the light. I will still use them in the AeroGarden to grow small starter plants and then plant them outside when the weather permits it.Thank you for reading.
