I had a couple of prior model Toyota Tacoma trucks, most recently a 2021. Three to four years ago, Toyota added (what I call) a “tear-drop” accent under the headlights of the 4-Runner. At the time, I was not a fan. It made the front end look like it was crying. Just me, I know. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma now has that same accent feature. It disappears into certain darker paint colors, but is stands out on the “Celestial Silver” color I purchased. I wanted something to break up the black shape. It took some time to figure out what to search for, and seemingly this Fewshaw was one of the only options on multiple sites and searches. There is a tape over version, but I really just wanted a one-piece set and go version. This Fewshaw “front bumper side headlight grill cover” fits that bill for my own silver color. I cleaned the grill cover on my truck with alcohol while letting the overlay piece warm up on a heater vent (since my garage temp is 45F). Pulling off the adhesive tape covering with my fingernails and tweezers was a learned, but simple, skill. There is plenty of tape to hold things on the OEM Tacoma piece. Pressing it into place for a minute, making sure all the edges, corners, and middle sections were secure was quick and easy.I think it looks great. The color is not exactly the same, but to me, it really does not matter, it blends in with a casual look. I have had other similar adhesive overlays in the past. None of them showed any tendency to pull apart with off roading, mud, or pressure washing. No issues so far with some snow and a manual car wash. Looks great. If you like the look and potential colors for your own Tacoma, this is recommended.
