Your cart is empty.Fowler 52-562-005-0 Vertical White Dial X-Test Indicator, 0.0005" Graduation Interval, 0.060" Maximum Measuring Range, 1" Diameter. It has twice the range of most indicators. On rotation accuracy is .0004" and accuracy for full travel is .0012" This vertical white dial indicator has 210° swivel arc, 5/32" with tungsten carbide point: .080". It has a revolution counter and automatic reversal. Frequently used in manufacturing, laboratories, and other industrial or mechanical fields, dial indicators are used anywhere a small measurement must be found and recorded or transferred, such as checking the variation in tolerance of a work piece. Standard dial indicators measure the displacement along the Axis of the indicator. Dial Test indicators are very similar to dial indicators, except that the Axis of measurement is perpendicular to the Axis of the indicator. Dial and dial Test indicators can be analog, with a mechanical dial, or electronic, with a digital display. Some electronic models transfer the data electronically to a computer for recording and potential manipulation. Fowler, an American company, manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. The company, founded in 1946, is headquartered in Newton, MA.

The picture doesn't match what they send. The body of the indicator is huge! Almost twice the size of the one in the picture. But it serves its purpose.

I am very disappointed by this indicator.I was at first excited as I'd fought with other indicators that had the dial oriented differently resulting in my needing to use a mirror or walk to the other side of the machine to read the indicatorI bought the first one and the first time I tried to use it, the lens popped off.OK, maybe this is an outlier. I'll order a replacementAs I waited for the replacement, I considered getting over the lens coming off and perhaps I'd pay for the second one and keep both...I waited for the second one with bated breath and was excited to see that tracking indicated it had been delivered...Imagine my disappointment when I opened the replacement indicator, gently moved the probe through its range of travel and the needle stopped moving!As much as I hate to say it, clearly, I should have bitten the bullet and spent the $ for an Interapid and Fowler has sadly let me down

Didn't want to start out with a top of the line, swiss-made indicator as my learning experience. This gets the job done. When I'm a more confident machinist I will upgrade.
