I use these pliers for jewelry making. They are of good quality, but small. The pics distort size of products sometimes. It's not the sellers fault, measurements are usually listed. But I think the description should say how small they are. Other than that I have used them and work great. J

After I bought and returned several other pliers priced from $12 to $75 over the past few months, I didn't expect much when I made this order. However, it was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise, especially for the price. Typically, any rating depends on what people are looking for and how much the product they received meets their expectations. Here's what exactly I was looking for. I needed pliers with ends thin and strong enough so that I could open the 4mm jump rings. These pliers have strong (and fairly polished) tips that don't bend when I do it. They're pretty comfortable to hold even though they're probably the shortest ones I've ever used. They don't have an "extremely springy" mechanism, so I'm not sure how long they will work. But you know what, even if they last 3-4 months, for the price and the work that they do, I will still give 5 stars. Open the jump ring, hold it while you close the ring with other pliers or make a loop on the pins - these pliers are just perfect for this job. I have never used them directly in working with a wire, so I don't know how well they are suitable for this. By the way, I ordered a spare pair just in case.

unfortunatly my tool doesn't work properly. It is very hard to close and shouldn't be. I'm not very happy with this tool, but I will still use it.

I ordered these pliers to help me make loops in the wires used for DIY cloth masks I've been sewing. These pliers are easy to grasp and help me create a tight loop that eliminates sharp wires from poking through.The pliers arrived in perfect condition, well before the promised delivery date.

I've been looking for some jewelry pliers that have smooth barrels for a reasonable price. These are perfect. Now I can achieve the least amount of maring on my wire. I wasn't sure about these at first because they only had one review. This was well worth the chance I took. Happy with my purchase.

Biggest concern is they have gashes and chunks missing around the joints (see photos) but it doesn't seem to be impeding the joint at all for now, they close all the way, though theycame with a good amount of oil in the joint (I had to wipe it as some leaked out a little).They don't open very wide on their own resistance because the little tension pieces aren't as long as I feel they should be.They are TINY.Otherwise they'll get the job done.The noses are even with eachother and straight. No teeth, they're smooth which is ideal for jewelry/wire wrapping.Oh and the packaging said "The Jewelers Toy Store" with a rainbow diamond logo in case anyone was wondering what brand this is like I was.The packaging also advertises that it's "tempered steel" for what it's worth, but with all the gashes I wouldn't expect too much.
