I purchased this product for trolling. I hooked them up on the small boat, tightened them down all the way and began to ask my son for positive feedback. He put his hand on one and pulled it mildly. The unit, under minimal strain pointed straight to the back of the boat. This pissed me off as my son was laughing. If I was to catch a fish while trolling with these, the fish would pull the rod holder back and the fish would take the rod into the water. I literally removed them and through the junk in the garbage. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
