I bought one thinking I could easily switch to what ever pole I'm using but the fit is pretty sturdy. Might have to buy a couple more but then the pole won't fit the PVC pole holders. They seem like they would work perfectly.

The rod butt cushion fits most rods fairly well, but in the heat of the moment, the cushion may produce the effect you see in the photo. Now I will say that if you take the time to slip it on correctly, it works and fits well, but if you don't you get to take funny photos of your boys showing off their blue balls fighting that fish...LOLIt is nice and light, very portable will float if dropped in the water and most importantly it will keep your boys from damage.I was lucky enough to get another one of these in orange, so the review is the same as the blue color, just not the same effect as seen in the photo...:)

The Kifoho Fishing Rod Butt Cushion is a great alternative or addition to a fighting belt. It is made from very durable material and fits most rods. The grip is excellent and it is very easy on my hands. The grip fits most, if not all big rods. The price is fair.

Seems like it’s tough enough for general use but I don’t know if you could fight “The Big One” with this for long. Probably best for pier fishing and not deep sea sized catches. I could be wrong but I haven’t had a chance to prove otherwise. Not bad for the price though.

"Suitable for 99.9% fishing rods" is only true if all the fishing rods butts are almost 1.5 inches. I don't own a single one that big. If you do deep sea fishing and have very large rods. this is the butt cushion for you.

I was hoping I would be able to put this on as needed - we fish from boats and our rods are frequently in and out of rod holders all day long and this precludes that. But when push comes to shove and a good sized fish is on the line, I find I'm not stopping to put the cushion on - so after it took a few boat rides it ended up in the garage. So it kinda works but not for me.

This is bigger than I was expecting. It is a soft cushion that you can push on to the rear of a fishing pole. It allows you to rest the end of your fishing rods against your body. This is easy to push on . It does stay on. I like it.
