Very impressed with these putty pads. They are decently think, come individually wrapped, and conform well to the different outlet/fixtures. This cost for 20 pads was also a huge plus.

I purchased these to help with noise blocking for my home theater project. I only have two openings that I needed them for. But then we remodeled our bathroom. I did the demolition and as such, added mineral wool insulation and covered all outlet boxes with these pads to keep sound out of the neighboring rooms. Best I can tell, they work great.

I've used the more expensive 3M putty pads as well as these. These seem like they're a slightly different material, less "tacky", but for my purpose of sealing the receptacles and switch boxes to reduce sound transference, they worked just fine and I didn't see any disadvantage to these over the 3M model.

As an electrician I was expecting a certified product with required UL listing and ASTM ratings, however this has none. Just a plain box with some putty pads. Also, the adhesive is weak. I will be returning the product.

This is great moldable fire barrier putty, easy to use, easy to cut nice and pliable to fit in just about any application. Easy to wrap electrical boxes and to fill the gaps where wires pass through.It is also good for water proofing, where boxes may be exposed to the elements.This putty is easier to use then the old grey blocks I use to use.I also used it to close the gap left in the brick where I had to open it wider to reline my chimney.For now I have no issues with this product.

I used about 15 of these putty pads to insulate the outlets for sound. The results were successful and eliminated or reduced sound passing through the outlets.
