Zero Setting
- Before using, clean measuring faces of the anvil and the spindle with soft cloth or soft paper.
- Then bring them together carefully by turning the ratchet stop.
- If the line marked "0" on the thimble does not coincide with the reference line on the sleeve.
- Adjust zero position in the following manners:
Deviation within +0.01mm
- Lock the spindle by the locking device then adjust the sleeve with a spanner until the reference line comes exactly in line with "O" line on the thimble.
Deviation over 0.01mm
- Lock the spindle with a locking device and release the ratchet stop with a wrench. Press the thimble onto the ratchet stop so that the "O" line coincides with the guide line on the sleeve. Tighten ratchet stop for final adjustment. Use the previous method if necessary.
Reading
- Min reading is 0.01mm.
- Reading is 5.88mm. (see fig.)
- (Can estimate 0.001mm-0.002mm)
Precautions
- Keep the instrument clean and dry.
- Do not disassemble and drop the instrument.
- Use ratchet stop to keep precision measuring.

I wouldn't buy these for tight tolerances. I get a .0005" difference when measuring the standard multiple times. Also, the wooden case was garbage. I threw it away due to faulty construction and made of cheap materials.

These work pretty well. They stick a little but for the most part did well with my cat engine rebuild

Very affordable set with case. I did need an initial calibration but seem to be fine now. High quality for the price. Not the quality of other instruments but definitely capable of doing the job for me. I dont think I could have gotten a better deal.

Super poor quality, the 0-1 mic probably someone used it before. The spindle was bend right after i received them. They machining the spindle but still I'm pretty sure they cut it off but didn't face it, or it's just a minimum face. The return takes forever to receive your money.

Way off between the 3-in block and the 4-in block, while zeroed at 3 in. Can't trust the integrity of these measurements to decide whether or not I need to machine an engine block. Waste of time and money.

Received item...#1 NOT METRIC MICS...Sent US Std Mics...although the std mics had vernier scales to .0001...#2 NO PADDED STORAGE BOX INCLUDED AS LISTED...was shipped in reqular carboard box...no storage case as described. Other than that...they mics looked ok..did not open sealed bags...came with standards and a wrench.
