Nice solid heavy duty built well. The cheap galvanized steel brackets at the HD are nowhere near as solid and cost the same for one as all four of these.

We just (yesterday) poured an elevated pad in our home that will have a cover over it. When we finished pouring, and just after stamping the concrete, we installed these where the porch roof posts will go. The hardest part was measuring for accurate placement. Putting them in was a snap! This morning I checked the pad and these brackets. they are in perfect position and very solid. From here, All I have to do is bolt in treated 4x4 posts using the included hardware and start setting beams and trusses. Easy. These are obviously powder coated. The finish is really nice. Very thick, satin black coating that will last a long time, I'm sure of it. I also want to comment on the thickness of the steel used. These are really built. I'd looked at similar brackets at two of our local "box" hardware stores. The steel on their brackets was more like thick-ish sheet metal and would bend easily and the finish was some kind of spray paint. These are much, much heavier and very robust. Not positive of the gauge but I'd bet they are at least 10awg or larger. The rebar extensions that get set into concrete are thick and welded to the bottom of the brackets. All very stout and should last longer than the concrete itself. If you're doing a project that needs brackets for 4x4 posts, these are an excellent way to go. They ship fast, are packaged really well to prevent scratches, and they are super strong. Everything is included to attach a 4x4.I wholeheartedly recommend these. Great seller and great product!

These are sturdy and heavy duty. My brother is a welder, and he was blown away at the quality/strength of the welds. I used them to anchor a 6ft privacy fence to my my blacktop driveway, and they hold the fence up with no problem.

I used this as anchors for my pergola. I liked that there was 4 rebar shafts to put in cement as opposed to one that most hardware stores sell.

I used these post bases to build a low-level floating deck on a slope, mounting posts of different lengths. The four rebar "spikes" make for a solid fit when placed in wet concrete.Stock 4x4s fit fine in the mount, with a little wiggle room for oversize stock (because treated lumber, duh). I used the provided bolts (nuts provided, but no washers) and screws. The supplied nut driver was a nice bonus, though I questioned the necessity for hex head cap screws. Tip: mark your posts for the bolt holes and drill them on sawhorses (or, better yet, with a drill press if the 4x4 is short enough) to get the holes straight. Doing it at ground level is a recipe for crooked holes. My only concern is that powder coating seems to protect against corrosion less well as galvanizing. I guess I'll know after a few years.
