This is a simplex receptacle, and it has a good, solid feel. It is described as being commercial grade, and I think that is an accurate description for it. The terminals are side-wire only, so it is slightly less convenient than a back-wire receptacle. I don't have a problem with it, though. I have used side-wire receptacles for decades. The color is pure white, and it matches well with standard white cover plates. One other important thing to mention, it is UL listed. If it weren't, I wouldn't even consider using it.

This does not come with a matching wall plate, which is ironic as I have plenty of spare two-receptacle wall plates, but a singe round-hole wall plate is rare to have hanging around. This outlet is perfect for applications like, say, a garage door opener or other unusual spots where you'll only ever need to plug in one thing. It would have been nice if the rear of the outlet included ports to stick in the wiring, but it only has the screw terminals.

Works as you’d expect. Feels quality made. Installed in a standard 1gang box just fine. It says that it’s UL listed which is a big bonus when purchasing from Amazon (not always 100% sure what you’re buying if it’s not UL listed.). So I definitely recommend this.
