My arthritis has started to be a challenge for me in this area. These are helpful but a bit difficult to apply enough paper for the job. Also a bit heavy. I will probably repurpose to reach the bottom of the washer/dryer instead of mine!

I bought a plastic assist for the bathroom that was total junk. Needed an alternative after I realized it completely didn’t work. Bring this to the hospital so you have a sliver of dignity and independence after spinal surgery. It’s been a life saver. Now that I’m home I’m still using it with the bidet. Best purchase out of all my pre op stuff. 10/10. I bought the larger one.

I had a plastic wiping aid and did not like it. Getting the paper into the crevasse that was to hold onto it was a trick and then getting it to let go of the paper was very difficult. This one is simple and works great. It grabs the paper, you use it, and then it lets go of the paper. This simplest solution seems to be the best. I am very happy.

Not a lot of moving parts to break. No directions needed. Very loosely wrap the grabby part with toilet paper, leaving the tongs slightly open. When ready to use, stuff the paper into the open part and close. A nice blob of tissue to use. For me the reach is good.
