Very nice looking pens. NOT for the novice pen turner.

This is a great deal especially for an aspiring pen Turner. Coupled with some good blanks, you can make some very nice looking very functional pieces. The delivery was prompt, and everything was correct. Will definitely order again.

This was the second kind of pen I have turned of course I have moved on now and have a ton of different kinds, but at the time this was a big step. Fantastic kit all the way around and great for someone looking for a medium sized pen. Make sure you know how to use a parting tool well and that’s about all you need to know

This is a great product with quality hardware. The twist mechanism is ultra-smooth. This kit is a step up from the slim-line kit and give your customers a little variety to choose from.

i have turn over a 100 pens. Many made for veterans.now making them for active service personal. The men like the larger still pens as it fits are hands better. all that said the kits are just what you need.

Decent pen kit for the price. I've been turning pens for 6-8 years, so have tried a few different kits in my day. Took more force than other slimline pen kits I've used to seat parts. Using my trusty pen press I've had for years. Increased force required means when inserting the part that holds the refill it's easy to over-do it and seat too deep. I did manage to back out the one that went too deep with a punch (I've found that works well for pen disassembly and have plenty of punches so never bought a "pen disassembly kit") with a bit of work and there was no damage to the mechanism. While the kits don't assemble as smoothly as other kits, once together, they seem to be okay and mechanism works as smoothly as other slimline kits I've used. One star off for requiring so much force to assembleFinish looks good initially, and has held up looking new after a couple weeks of use (riding around in shirt pocket). Standard cross refills did not fit, hope I can find refills as it's no good to make a pen and not be able to get a refill when it's out! 1 star off for not being able to put in cross refills like the other slimline pens I've used.Someone made comment about bushings and tolerances etc... I've never found it necessary to be that precise with turning the pens. I get it close with a smooth surface then sand to a hair under final dimensions then build CA finish up to exactly where I want. These kits worked great that way and while I've never had a pen kit that was PERFECT when it came to concentricity, these kits seemed as good as others I've used, so no complaints there.All-in-all, the 10 pack serves it's purpose for me. I love the price and pens look good when assembled. If I find I can get refills that fit this, I'd buy again and may become my slimline go-to kit. If not, I'll probably find another source.

the hardware is very good quality and everything fits perfectly. but the pens don't write well, the ball wont roll on a single sheet of paper on a desk. i always have to layer papers so i can write with them

good pen kit...all the products are consistent in quality. I've make close to 20 pens, slimline and euro style from legacy, and haven't had any problems yet.
