It's a bit bigger and thicker than my old one for a Whirlpool stove but I made it fit. A tip for all DIYer out there: if you can't match the original you have to make sure the correct wires connecting to the 1a, 1b, 2a & 2b on the new one.

Exactly what was in my stove. Easy to replace. Took only 10 minutes tops. I made a diagram of the wires on a scrap piece of paper, proped open the oven top with a peice of wood I had lying around and replaced it. Easy peazy, lemon squeazy.

***UPDATE***Sooo....correction. This part works very well and like it should. I had to replace the element as well as another part. Once I got the other part installed, it worked like a charm! Would buy again if needed.I like the value of the product however, it would not work after installed. Even had a professional electrician and repairman check the element. It was receiving the correct power in all places but still would not work. Will be returning promptly! Could’ve just been a bad element.

This item replaced a 10 OD element on my Whirpool Range. It about a 9 inch OD element but it works fine and I can 't tell any difference. Pay attention when disconnecting the wires from the old burner and mark the wires, take a picture or both. Make sure you know which wires are 1a, 1b, 2a and 2b.

This product is advertised as a universal replacement for certain 8 inch elements. The part is almost 9 inches across and may not work in many applications. At the very least, the 'hot' part will be outside the marked burner section on your cooktop. The element received is NOT the one pictured.More importantly, the insulating material is exposed and refractory ceramic fibers are loose. This is a serious health concern. Your choice if you want your food and family exposed to this stuff, but I'm sending this one back. From the CDC: "With increasing production of RCFs, concerns about exposures to airborne fibers prompted animal inhalation studies that have indicated an increased incidence of mesotheliomas in hamsters and lung cancer in rats following exposure to RCFs. Studies of workers who manufacture RCFs have shown a positive association between increased exposure to RCFs and the development of pleural plaques, skin and eye irritation, and respiratory symptoms and conditions (including dyspnea, wheezing, and chronic cough). In addition, current and former RCF production workers have shown decrements in pulmonary function."

Didn't realize how much the old burner had decreased performance until it was replaced. This is a 2000 watt burner, replacing the "2400" watt burner (couldn't find a 9" for a reasonable price) - but this clearly exceeds the output of that burner - clearly 15 years of use had taken its toll. Best burner on the stovetop... quality looks comparable to the OEM burner and now 5 weeks in, works perfectly fine.

If the seller included a diagram or instructions about the wiring, it would have saved me about an hour of fooling with my stove, but thankfully another reviewer pointed out that the hot wires go in one side, and the cold ones go in the other. I'm proud to say that I finally have use of all 4 burners for the first time since moving into this house five years ago. A local appliance repair place was going to charge $250 to fix this, claiming that the part they had to order was $130. That's why I put it off for so long. On a whim I checked Amazon for the element and after watching some tutorials on YouTube, switching it was almost as easy as changing a flippin' light bulb. THANK YOU Seneca River Trading!!

Considering this is a universal burner, it fit fairly well. I did have to try a couple combinations of mounting holes to find the right one, but it wasn't too difficult. Wiring was easy enough. Just match the wire locations for 1A, 2A, 1B and 2B. Works great and saved a lot over a OEM burner.
