This product looks like the tools you need to complete the timing job. The positioning tool had to be cut to be placed in correct spot. The tool for the valve springs has the wrong bend. The hand turning knob WILL NOT screw onto the tool when positioned correctly. This tool has frustrated me so much I am writing a review which I normally do not do.

I have used the valve spring compressor, phaser locking tool, and crankshaft positioning tool from this set for a timing job on my 2007 F250 5.4L 3V. The phaser locking tool had some kind of hard metal dross inside one of the bolt holes, it took a fair bit of work to clear the hole well enough to get a bolt through. The phaser teeth also did not have a good shape for engaging the phaser properly but with a little fiddling I managed to get it to a position that held snugly, The crankshaft positioning tool fit the shaft and key just fine and appeared to match nicely with the other tool I got as a backup. The valve spring compressor worked fine when it could actually be maneuvered into place. The foot was not huge or misshapen compared to another spring compressor tool I had, but it was thick enough and wide enough that it simply could not get into the more torturously-cramped valve spring locations. I probably could have ground it down a bit but the other tool worked better. All in all a lot of value but be prepared to remove some metal to make things work right.

Had to grind the valve spring compressor in a few areas to get it to fit and work. Had to file the hole on the crankshaft tool to get it to fit. Not happy the tools did not fit properly and had to grind them to get them to work. I was able to get them to work but if I knew I had to grind them I would not have purchased them.

Bent the spring compressor after a few uses. My fault though as I didn't make sure it wasn't going to press on anything else but the spring.

Super easy to use. Definitely a must have if doing a complete timing job on a 5.4 liter 3 valve
