Yes, the old bushing and sleeve needs to be hammered out or pressed out of the diff in order to install these red diff bushing....did not use bushing in crossmber for my application.

Energy Suspension is the name in the game for bushings. I installed these in my 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. I had my differential out for painting so it was a no brainer to pop these in. The previous reviewer, “Happy”, clearly did something wrong as no trimming should ever be required. I have replaced essentially every OE bushing on my Z with ES polyeurathane bushings and have never had an issue. The alternative to these are solid bushing made by a few aftermarket companies but those applications are more or less for the track.

I purchased this set some time ago and opened the package just now and unfortunately the inner sleeves did not come with the part as shown. The packaging did not look tampered with however the required parts to install it were not supplied with the kit. Very disappointed as now I have a set of bushings I cannot use.

Works perfect. Adds stability to subframe during launch and braking. Previous reviewer that said he needed to shave part of it off did not properly remove the previous bushing sleeve. Use the supplied lube and tap in, fits perfectly.

I used this product on a 1990 Nissan 300ZX non-turbo.My experience:I used the front differential bushings only.The pros. Once installed, I found it smother shifting gears. The annoying "thump" sound that would come from the rear of the car during acceleration/deceleration and gear shifting is now gone.The cons. This product did not fit right off the bat. I had to shave off a layer around each front bushing with a razor blade in order for them to fit in the diff holes. I used the old bushing's that came off the car as a size guide. It doesn't have to look beautiful, just get it as even as you can. Only shave the part that suppose to go in the hole, not the larger part that remains sticking out, that will compress when you're installing the support bracket and tightening the bolts.Would have given it 5 stars if I didn't have to trim them down to size. (I may have made a mistake and not seen something else I had to take off for them to fit without having to shave them..)Tips:Reuse the top parts of each old bushing. Really memorize the way it came off or record it/take pics of how it comes off to put it back together the same way with the new bushings! Once in place, when bolting it back together the new bushings will compress so that the front diff support bracket can meet the body.
