Worked good. Not too difficult to install but my 03 yukon rides better and no more annoying noise. Used for bushings on the torsion bar bracket.

If you have an air hammer with a chisel tip this will make your life very simple. Took literal seconds to knock out the old bushings with their rings. The only trick is installing these. Take a moment with a Dremel or die grinder with a grinding wheel to smooth out the welds that you chopped out were. Make it smooth and spherical again (if you deformed it). You need either a c clamp or in my case I used a long bolt/nut with various washers and spacers to take up slack. Lube it up with dish soap, using an oil will let it stay slippery after install, not what you want. The soap will dry up after install. Get it a third of the way in with your press and then you can tap it in with a hammer. It has a shallow ridge that will seat within the factory bracket. It is more than enough secure.Unless your brackets are falling off the frame this is the best solution and the cheapest, to replacing these bushings. They will fit all gm torsion bar trucks no matter what they say. Forget the rubber ones.

As you can see from my pictures, the bushings in the body we’re absolutely trashed. I read that these would fit and be an easy install. They definitely do fit and were an easy install! Make sure you remove the metal ring that remains from the old busted bushing. These bushings took care of the strange thumping noise when turning and going over bumps. Oddly, it feels like my SUV rides smoother too. But that may just be in my head.

I have a 2004 Silverado 2500hd, according to Amazon these bushings wouldn’t fit but I took a chance and ordered them anyway and they fit perfect! As far as I know almost all the gm trucks from 99-06 use the same front end suspension components or at least the 3/4 tons did so these should work on any of them

Fit great. I ground off the factory rivers and worked on replacing the old stock bushings on the bench vise rather than under the truck. Was a pain to wiggle, pry, lever, hammer and lift the brackets out from the torsion bar crossmember itself. That was the most time consuming part of the job. I didn’t put the frame up on jack stands, that might have helped.Don’t forget to drive out the metal shell of the old bushing. It’ll make pressing in the new poly bushings a cinch. Plus the new bushings will actually fit. 😖I used Grade 8 7/16”-14 bolts with washers on both sides (frame rail outer and under a nylock nut on the bushing bracket side).Went back together great.2004 Duramax 2500HD Silverado

Not sure why people won’t disclose the secret to getting these in. Trick is to install them opposite of the side where the three tabs are for the original bushing, doing so will ruin the new bushings. On the passenger side you would press it in from the front and the drivers side you would press it in from the back. I used a seal installer, long bolt, nut and short ball joint sleeve. I used a similar setup to installed the copper sleeve. I also expanded the tabs on the cross member piece using a vice, once I tightened the bolt to 70 foot pounds the tabs and bushing compressed. It is super tight now compared to the OE bushings, my 2002 Yukon XL 1500 had approximately 184k miles. You may have to grind some material off on one side of the bushing lip to get it in, do this on the side that will be inserted first.
