It’s just a cover that sits on top of the griddle. There is no way of securing the top to stay on, like some kind of straps.This is a large griddle and I guess if it sits out flat all the time this might be useful but I store my griddle in my pantry. I was excited to find a cover for it to protect the surface. But this cover just goes over the top. I don’t even know why it would have handles. I could just put a towel on top and save $20.00. It is the right size and it has a pocket on the top so you could put the cord. I store my griddle vertically so this is of no use as designed. I can sew so I might add some straps or a bottom and a zipper.
