Must have for fencing. I use a socket wrench to tighten them and they work well. I usually use these for the H brace tension or a top wire but they have lots of used. I like having these around and they were a great price. Definitely worth it.

Good fence tensioners. We didn’t have an issue with any of them. They seem durable and held up well to tension.

these are handy little wire tightener I always had a problem keeping the electric fence good and tight. with these you can easily keep the wires tight. All you need is to carry a pair of vice grips to turn the tightener with.

Simple ratchet design that enables a single person to properly tension pretty much any wire fencing. I have 5 acres that are fenced using barbed wire and electric fencing. Getting the fencing tight has always been a hassle. These little devices are a huge improvement and time saver. Very simple to use. They can tension a wire so tight it can bend standard T-posts. My fences have never looked so good.

They work as advertised and the price is quite reasonable so they're a great value. Need a pair of channel locks or pliers to tighten, not the easiest things to use but they certainly do the job. They're made well. They work with a variety of fencing materials. Not the best tighteners on the market but great for the price.

got these for a few different wire fences i have on my homestead, they work well but are also much easier to apply tension when you have the proper tools

2-15-25 These work so well at making 1/8" steel cable woven through the eyelets of my shade screens tight. These don't arrive with any instructions and I wasn't quite sure initially how to go about securing my steel cable through them since it appears to have like a wrap guide off to one side. After watching a couple YouTube videos just from people not a company and didn't find anybody using cable they were using wire, I decided to utilize both holes and do a sharp u-turn with the cable which worked out quite well. There is a nifty little spring ratchet tool that you can purchase for around 20 bucks to tighten these, but I found using a crescent wrench or open-ended box wrench work just fine with no issues. These worked great for keeping the edges of my shade screens taught on the side of my carport. At first I thought 10 might be too many, but now I know it's not enough for the amount of shade screens are going up around the house. Hopefully my written and photo reviews are helpful, Thank you!

Wire strainers like these come in a few different varieties (at least in my experience) with the biggest difference being the mechanism for tightening the wire. Unfortunately of the three I have tried these are the worst. The tightening attachment point on this wire strainer is kind of square with rounded corners. I could hold it with pliers or a crescent wrench, but the rounded corners made it challenging. However as the wire starts getting tight the angle to engage the wrench gets difficult and the wire starts wanting to wrap in the same line which causes it to overload on one side of the spool. The rounded corners also prevented me from using a standard ratchet. As the body of the wire strainers seem largely the same and the cost seems similar, I will opt for the strainer with the truly square interface or the one that engages with a two pronged handle.
