This is made with a sturdy foam. Yes, it is more fragile until you mount it and can be dented after, but it is beautiful and with proper care, it makes a great trim. Just be careful not to slam anything against it. I used liquid nails to mount it to my ceiling. At a small investment, its totally worth it, because it increased the value of my home.
