Love this lawn mower. I upgraded from my old one with self propelled feature due to a disability. Works great.

The best is the wireless freedom of battery power, helpful self propel in deep grass and uphills. Only missing a turbo mode.

A little more expensive than a gas mower, initially. But the cost in electricity to run is miniscule compared to the effort to go buy gas, buy and change the oil and filter, and put up with the deterioration of today's gas using additives. The wide range of other tools powered by the same battery is marvelous. This is not my first EGO product. This mower folds up about as compactly as possible, and unfolds easily and quickly. Takes a ton less room in the shed. This replaces multiple mowers over the 50 years I've been mowing. All of the previous machines had perfectly functional engines, on a deck completely destroyed by rust. Talk about a PITA to maintain! This one has a very solid thermoplastic deck. It has encountered sticks and stones, but shrugs them off. And the underside of the deck is much smoother than any metal deck I've seen, so clippings do come off more easily from it when I take the time.EGO has a bunch of mowers in the lineup, and it is impossible to find a comparison between them. I've recommended one to the company, and was promised that they're working on one.I'm not as happy with the speed control on mine. It is close to the left hand, but a small reach is needed to adjust it. I liked my last Toro gas mower, where pulling on the "go" bail in front of the handle engaged the clutch to full speed if pulled all the way back to the handle, and less so if not pulled so far. Made it a lot easier to adjust speed when I needed to.I'm also not optimistic about these wheels. They might just be cast, hollow polypropylene, and might not last as long as the rest of the mower. And replacing them doesn't look to be an easy effort. Now I'm waiting for EGO to develop a smart robot mower. In the meanwhile, these EGO mowers are superb.

I find it annoying to buy a battery that requires charging but does not come with a chargerI think this is slimes and basically cost me 800 dollars more to purchase these items to even use the lawnmowerIt’s like selling an electric lawnmower but no cord to plug it in

I bought this unit to replace my gas mower which is over 33 years old. The main cut of our acreage is done by my ride on. This unit is very quiet and does a great job on trimming and edging along the fence, trees, retaining walls, sidewalks and driveway. I have two 5.0 ah batteries which will give me a run time about an hour. No way will it do all the lawn because it takes about 3 hours by push mower. Still, I'm happy as a replacement.

A couple of years ago I was adamant that I would never buy a battery mower. I was a gas guy for many reasons: I felt that they worked better, they were more manly, you didn't have to worry about charging or replacing an expensive batter, and battery units could be quite pricey. After 6 years of using a very inexpensive gas mower it was time to replace it. Getting six years out of a 100 dollar motor was a huge win. But it finally decided to crap out and I bit the bullet and purchased this Ego mower. It was night and day! The cut is amazing, I currently use the mulching blades and my grass looks so much better than it did in previous years. The mower is quiet and I can use my air pods without putting ear muffs over them. The battery life is pretty good, I can typically mow my entire yard on a single charge. With that being said I would recommend purchasing a second battery as it will bring peace of mind. One of my favorite features is the height adjustment; it's just a quick slide of a lever. Not more fussing with the wheels or taking them off to set the height. And the mower is lightweight and can be stored inside. I have a very small shed and my old mower took up most of the space. Now I can keep the Ego mower in my basement as it does not contain gas thus freeing up my shed. And it's lightweight enough to carry down the basement stairs. The mower is well built and doesn't feel cheap. It also includes a light which I have not used yet. Some people will like the self propelled feature but I usually shut it off and push the mower. This saves battery life and provides some exercise! the last thing that I'll mention is that it comes with three blades and a collection bag! I highly recommend this Ego mower, you won't be disappointed.

After 14 years, my trust old Honda mower finally retired. Since it is 2022, I decided to get with the times and go green. After some research on Consumers Reports, I opted for this EGO model mower. Since I already own an EGO snow blower, I figured it makes sense to stay with the EGO product line since the batteries are all interchangeable. My yard is about 1/3 of an acre. with a slope of about 6 degrees. Plenty of rain means that I mow at least once per week during peak season and sometimes twice per week in the middle of Spring. I only ever mulch the grass clippings, so I keep the mower in the mulching configuration.Bottom Line On Top - This is a legit lawn mower and certainly a worthy replacement for my old Honda Gas Mower.Pros:1) Very light. Very maneuverable. Honestly, don't need to use the self-propelled function half as much as my old Honda - which was nearly twice as heavy.2) I am super allergic to grass and tree pollen. This mower makes less mess (i.e., I don't feel like I am walking behind a blizzard of grass clippings).3) It is very quiet so no ear protection is necessary. I can even listen to music when I mow the grass now.4) Cut is sharp and clean. Very comparable to a gas mower if not better. Slices through more dense growth and reduces the clippings to a nice fine discharge. Not much clumping. Seems to produce a very good vacuum for excellent mulching. Very even with no loss of blade speed or torque. This was probably my biggest concern and the EGO certainly didn't let me down.5) Compact and easy to store. I like the idea that this can fold and store easily.6) Easy to clean after mowing is complete.Cons:1) Battery life. As with my EGO snow blower, I am not sure whose yard they measured 60 minutes of mowing time with. Admittedly, my EGO mower is set up with the mulching blade configuration and I use the 7.5 mV batteries that came with my snowblower. The 10 mV battery is unavailable at this time and since I have two 7.5 mV from my snowblower, I figured that I will use them instead. Let me just say that it is a good thing that I have two batteries to use, as this EGO mower drains 1.5 batteries every time I mow. Even if I had a 10 mV battery, I suspect that I'd still have to tap into a second battery to complete my yard which is only about 1/3 an acre 4,200 sqft in size. So battery life is a bit disappointing.2) Self-propelled feature is a bit slow and quirky. First, this mower is super light, so I engage the self-propelled feature, only when going uphill. Maybe I walk or mow quickly, but this EGO mower seems a bit slow and its max speed is only 3.1 MPH - which is slower than a Honda mower. Secondly, the self-propel function has a bit of a time lag when you press and release the button. Takes a second too long to kick in and then takes a second too long to stop (i.e., when you move in reverse or around an object). Not a deal-breaker, but it is a noticeable design quirk.3) Not sure who said this is a 21-inch cut. The blade is not 21-inches long, so the front wheels DO NOT indicate where the tangents of the cutting circle are located. Meaning, that I did have to get used to lining up my mowing passes differently. The front wheels can't be used as my guide. Mildly annoying.Overall - this is a solid self-propelled mower that delivers a similar performance to my old Honda mower. The EGO takes a bit of getting used to, but I think the pros outweigh the cons. It is a good value and I would buy it again.
