I have bought this chalk about 40 times from another seller, I noticed that every time it gets sent from naturo India or something like that, it’s horrible, it’s so powdery, and the 3 small pieces left they tasted like pure chemical, yes, I left them air out before writing this review, the times I have gotten them from Olga shop, it’s perfect, when they send it from other vendors it’s horrible, and as soon I see the packaging, I know I’m going to get garbage.. I really dislike this crap.. As insuspected, after buying from another vendor, the chalk is very different, this “naturoindia” store or something like that is the problem, I bought from another vendor and the chalk was perfect, 4 times so far..

I've never eaten chalk before, but found myself craving it after watching one of those asmr chalk-eating videos on youtube. Being only a state away from where it was shipped, it came on time. All pieces were in an envelope in a ziplock-type bag. Wrapped tightly in bubble wrap. You can tell it was fresh. A tiny bit pricy, but considering how long it took me to finish everything (I still have some pieces left), I'd say it's a fair price. The note recommended it be left out to air for 6 hours minimum before consumption, but as a frist-time tryer, I found that after about a week and a half of leaving it out (obviously covered but still ventilated so it wouldn't get dust on it), it tasted the best in my opinion. To describe the taste, to me, it was less 'rain' or 'earth' as some others describe.. it was more on the lighter side of laundry soap (not that I or ANYone should EVER eat that). But it was a bit soapy tasting to me, for the first few days. Before AND after-taste. The crunch was comforting enough that I didnt fear breaking a tooth at ALL, but by god was it gritty. Gritty as in, it becomes almost paste-like after chewing, but you can still feel individual particals in your mouth, even after chewing for some time. Like fine sand. But pastier. But again, by that week and a half of waiting (esp if you break it up into smaller pieces), it gets softer and more pleasant. The VERY MILD soapy taste is still there, but the after taste isnt.Oven: I tried baking it as well for 350 for 30 minutes, then letting it cool. I did both a whole block and a broken up piece. BREAK it before you bake it. It isn't worth risking a crack in your molar because you feel like chomping on this huge block. They're right, the taste IS different after you bake it. The 'soapyness' is completely gone, as well as an after-taste... but what you're left with is what reminds me of white-out (again, DONT eat whiteout. I never had that either. the taste just reminds me of the smell). I was not a fan of it baked at all, but it was way crispier.Overall, I give this experience 3 stars. I wouldn't order this product OR edible chalk ever again. It was just out of curiosity. But for someone with a serious case of pica, this product would be for you, I believe. So try it.P.S. Don't eat a whole bunch of it at once. PLEASE take it bit by bit. This thing WILL put you on the toilet for some time if you go crazy with it.

I ordered because I got samples of different chalks and clays, the texture and flavor were so delicious and I desired to get a big portion. The flavor is not strong, more like paper with a little taste of dirt. No to hard to bite or take a pice with your fingers. crumbly and at certain point creamy. Good for those don’t like the flavor of dirt or the mod texture.

PACKAGING:OK, to start off.. people who are on these things complaining about the amount are TRIPPIN’. you get a GOOD AMOUNT! from reading reviews, i was expecting a small amount and was pleasantly surprised that it is NOT a little bit! i received a baggy that looks just like the picture, enough to last me a while and i have an iron deficiency which has me eating it daily so that should tell you whats up.TASTE:this is the only reason i took one star off. i was in the mood for that wet concrete after a rainy day scent and of course TASTE in this chalk and straight out of the box i did NOT get this. it tastes like.. well, chalk which is great and all but it would have been better had it had that certain taste. maybe i need to put it in the oven like some people do, i will update. being semi new to buying chalk online, i kept seeing the word “grit” or gritty texture on some chalks and i had an idea of what they were trying to say but i just needed verification.. which i did get once i bought these. long story short, you eat it, it crunches just fine, its not too hard to bite BUT you must still be careful with ANY of these things if you have weak teeth. you chew it and it DOESNT turn to paste. its just like “gritty”? which i dont mind either, it takes care of my cravings.FINAL THOUGHTS:out of the 4 different types i just purchased, this one is the best tasting. no after taste and no after mush or paste type thing. if you are wanting to try EDIBLE CHALK, this one is the one id recommend to start off with.
