Product Description

LED Photopolymer emulsion

Pre-sensitized

Pre-sensitized

Ecotex LED Emulsion does not require mixing in diazo. This pre-sensitized emulsion is ready to use straight from the container.

Shelf Life

12 Month Shelf-life

A benefit to using a pre-sensitized emulsion is the long shelf-life. Ecotex LED Emulsion can be stored on the shelf for 12 months after opening. Please note exposing the emulsion to extreme hot and cold temperatures will compromise the product.

LED Light Source

LED Light Source

The green pigment in the emulsion slows down exposure time, this is ideal for prints with finer detail. LED Emulsion is formulated for use with an LED exposure unit.

Solvent resistant

Compatible With

Ecotex LED Green is compatible with water-based, plastisol, UV, and solvent inks systems and endures long print runs without breaking down.

This emulsion was not suitable. I have an LED exposure unit. I purchased this based on the recommendation that it is for LED Exposure units. I exposed this with a meter and never could get this emulsion to adhere to the screen properly, even after a thorough cleaning and degreasing. May work for some but definitely was temperamental for me.

I purchased this product with the idea of trying new emulsions out. I usually use Bayslayer from Screenprinting.com. I landed on this one because it seemed to be a little easier per the product description. The product came as advertised with no issues with packaging. The screens were coated and left to dry overnight. I did not take I to account the humidity was high at my shop locationa and they needed a little extra time to dry. Once completely dry I started to expose. One after another kept appearing to be overexposed. I had a hard time believing the 15 second advertised time so I started at approximately 30 sec. I went up and down on time and after about 6 screens I was right back where I started.....using way to much needed pressure to even get any image to wash out. I gave up on it and went back to my old emulsion. After about a week I walked into the shop and saw the rest of the L.E.D. emulsion sitting there and gave it another shot. This time it worked perfect!THIS EMULSION IS EXTREMELY LIGHT SENSITIVE!!The time I was pulling it from my screen storage and setting it up on the exposure unit and then moving it outside to expose it was already too late. The trick I found to work perfect is expose it in "my" exposure unit. (LED) for 15 seconds as advertised and then immediately removed it and took a spray bottle with water in it and wet it down and let it sit in the corner for approximately 2 minutes. Then I relocate to the outside wash station and with normal garden hose pressure sprayed out the image. With this technique I have had great success with amazing detail.Hope this helps you out!Cruze

Pretty alright emulsion. If you are browsing amazon trying to resupply, I would recommend this product. I gave 3/5 for a couple of reasons. First, their burn time is way off unless you are using the most powerful industrial burner on the market. My exposure unit is a Baselayr X1620 LED Exposure Unit; it is a low grade exposure unit, so its in the same ballpark as alot of DIY setups using LEDs or more advanced halogen light set ups. Anyway, my burn time was 3 min 20 seconds, not close to the 15 seconds I was promised. Another issue with this product is that it is difficult to reclaim. Ive reclaimed screens with 3 different types of emulsion, and this by far was the most difficult. It still is possible, just double whatever your normal amount of time reclaiming is. Finally, this is a very thick emulsion. I had to use about 1.5x-1.75x the pressure when coating the screen to get the same result I normally do with other brands. Overall though, it is a pretty good emulsion, and does deliver a faster burn time than other brands. You just have to mess up a couple times before you succeed. Also, highly recommend buying the quart, as the pint goes quick when you mess a couple up in the beginning.

Saw a lot of negative reviews but maybe they’re just not experienced enough with the process.I exposed 3 screens with a 50w UV led with the recommended 15 seconds and it worked perfectly as directed. Really cut down on waiting time. Will order again when I run out!

Don’t listen to the noobs here.I have a diy exposure unit with some UV stops I got on Amazon and some particle board. The LEDS I have 30watts and about 6 inches from the screen. Strips are about 1 inch apart and they cover an area of 20 x 24.Screen exposes in 10-15 seconds just fine. It’s thin so be careful with it dripping while drying.

Easy to use especially for beginners. Thick enough to easily handle. I used my son's 20 watt LED blacklight for 20 seconds. Washed out easily in my kitchen sink. I'm just dipping my feet in the screen printing world and this was 100% better than Speedball's Diazio
