More packing than I need for 1 job, It was delivered in a plastic bag - loose in a plastic bag. There is no container as pictured. Storing the excess would be much easier with the container. It would have been nice to receive what was displayed in the description.The packing material is just a basic product - nothing extraordinary. The ability to order and have it delivered is outstanding, but...

Product does not match picture at all - it does not come on a plastic reel. Instead, it arrived coiled in a plastic bag.

Box hardware stores have NO CLUE what this stuff is :P :PSo my outdoor hose bib was drip drip dripping.The current packing nut crimped down on a brass sleeve bushing - but THAT wasn't doing the trick any more.1-1/2 turns of this inside the packing sleeve, snug it up, and good by drip !

This is what I needed and I'm happy with the product as well as the order/delivery times associated however it comes in a plastic bag and not in a roll as shown in the illustration and is just coiled.Other than that it will work the same either way and will ship and arrive in short order as this did in my own case.

It was much harder digging out the old stiff, leaking packing then packing the gland with new flexible teflon packing. Valves no longer leak and turn much easier.

For all practical purposes this works the same as the Teflon valve stem packing sold at the local hardware and home improvement stores. However, it is about 1/2 the price via Amazon. I definitely recommend it, but why is it not spooled as shown in the ad.

A plumber friend recommended this, but it is not carried at Home Depot or Lowes. I was very happy to find it on line and it worked great changing the packing on a gate valve.
