Got on next day shipping. Had ideas for homemade hibachi, breakfast etc. This electric flat top is basically a smaller version of a commercial flat top. Works great. I recommend getting a griddle kit with a scraper.

The first run made me think it wasn't gonna be enjoyable to use this griddle. It seemed like it took forever to heat up that first time and that made seasoning the surface take longer than expected. So the whole first run of using it felt like a chore and I just really thought it was gonna be a trainwreck to use. Luckily the normal use doesn't require the griddle to be cranked all the way up to full temperature. I got the surface seasoned really well with the same stuff I use on my blackstone outdoor griddle. Then we went to work cooking some stuff on it and I really liked using it.We have a family of four and the amount of food I need to typically make for all of us is just about right to make the size of this griddle perfect for us. We made bacon, sausage and pancakes on it for the first run use. I cooked the bacon and then the sausage then cleared the excess grease and chunks and finished it off with the pancakes. It just worked so well to make that whole meal so much faster than it would have been if I had used a pan or skillet on our stovetop. The other alternative would have been cooking outside on our blackstone and that adds the extra challenge of taking stuff outside and carrying it back in after and if the weather isn't nice out that takes the fun out of that. This little griddle is our goldilocks for cooking inside and the perfect size to get the job done efficiently. Now for the downsides. For its size this thing is super heavy. That can be a good thing as well as a bad thing because it makes it feel like its well constructed. The downside of that is that its small and seems like it should be easy to move around and store when not in use then get it out when you need it. The heavy weight just makes it a pain to move around though. The weight and its size is just enough to make it cumbersome. I don't think it will get moved a bunch though so we'll adjust. The slow heat up seemed really bad that first run but hasn't been as bad since. I still think it heats a bit slow, but its not intolerable. I just set the temp and start organizing stuff while its heating up. Just a little time management once you get used to how long it takes to get to the cook temp you need. Overall I like this thing and hope it last us a long time. I'd definitely recommend this to get one if you were looking for a griddle like this.

There are a few minor defects but overall, this cooktop is alright. Upon arrival the packaging was completely intact and padded nicely. There is about a 2-inch lip around the cooktop. On mine it is significantly bowed in on the right side (if you're looking at it from the front.) There is no indication that the item was bent or damaged but instead it looks more like a manufacturing defect. The lip is a very sturdy metal that appears welded very well. Due to its sturdy material and strong manufacturing, I have been unable to straighten it out. Before the first use I cleaned the packaging oil off the cooking surface and heated it up at about 50% until that oil was fully cooked off. Once that was completed, I coated the surface with avocado oil and turned the heat up to 100%. This seasoned the surface nicely. As the seasoning turned dark, I noticed there was almost no heat at all making it to the outer edges. Using my infrared heat gun, I measured at different spots across the surface and noticed a significant difference between them with the outer edges being the coolest. This may not be a significant issue if the band of lower temperatures isn't very large. This will provide an area to push food to stay warm while I cook the remainder of the food. It's not perfect, but for the price point I still really like it.
