An industry standard gets even better. We've reengineered the pedal that established our reputation for innovation and quality. Because innovation is part of our DNA we thought it was time for some major improvements. Most notably, the toe clamp. The 5000 needed more gripping strength, providing a stronger connection between the drummer and kick drum. So, we developed the Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp (U.S. Patent No. 8330032). Three independent 360 degree, rotating rubber pads firmly pinch almost any diameter and thickness bass drum counter hoop from the top and the bottom, with zero slippage. Add to that a new textured rubber grip pad on the base plate and we think you'll agree that there’s never been a better system for attaching a pedal to a bass drum. Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to improve on the smoothness and feel of the 5000, if that was even possible. To accomplish this, we added a Dual Bearing Spring Rocker, making the 5000 quicker and more responsive. The Turbo (TD4) concentric drive system maintains a direct relationship between the sprocket and the footboard to provide a solid, powerful, consistent feel and response.

Bought this pedal to upgrade the 3000 series I had and so far so good. I like the release, bounce, and it's easier on the heel toe/slide motion when I'm playing fast tempo music.

Been using the 5000 for 5 years now since I switched from the 7000 series. This pedal is a workhorse. I have one that I got with and now I'm getting a second to have at home. The pedal is smooth yet powerful. And it's great value.

I upgraded (side-graded?) from a Pearl Eliminator, which I'd been using for the better part of a decade, because I found all of the endless tweaking options with it's interchangeable cams to be tedious and frankly was just looking for a change. The DW5000 was refreshing in it's simplicity. It's smooth and responsive. A nice perk is that the hoop clip has little rubber feet so that it doesn't scratch up the hoop of your kick drum (unlike the Eliminator).

What I love best is the silence of the motion. I have other peddles that squeak and that annoys me because it muddies the ability to judge the precision of my beat. The action is natural, makes me feel connected to the drum.

Die DW-5000 mit konzentrischem Antrieb ist und bleibt die beste Fußmaschine. Die ganzen Direktantriebsteile sind nett, können der DW5000 aber nicht mal ansatzweise das Wasser reichen. Das Spielgefühl ist einzigartig.
