I purchased a Hikvision 8-channel NVR from Amazon to replace a unit that fell victim to a power surge, taking out the NVR and modem. I finally was able to install it as it is in a vacation house. Three of the eight cameras came right up. Whatever I tried, I was not able to connect the remaining 5 to the to the NVR. I called customer service at Hikvision, and I was connected to a customer service technician named Jay. He worked with me for one hour on the remaining cameras even though they were not Hikvision cameras. He was able to find out that the remaining 5 Cameras also were damaged.I am ordering my new cameras from Hikvision. The service, knowledge, and determination of Jay is a valuable employee of Hikvision; I highly recommend their products.

This product is not for North America. I needed to change email address and couldn’t do it. Call Hikvision tech support and they asked for sr# and told me they don’t support to the item bought on amazon

I purchased this new NVR to replace an old one, but I could not get it to work with my cameras.I called Tech Support at HIKVISION, and the support was excellent.Jay, my support Tech, could have been more patient and helpful. He walked me through each step to get the cameras working with my new NVR. I have worked with HIKVISION before, and the support and quality of the equipment are the best.

You need to purchase a hard drive since this didn’t come with one . Even though it said pre installed 2gig hard drive .

I ordered some cameras and I was ignorant of the protocol these cameras came under. I reached out to RealHD, and it said it would take a day or two to get a call back. Jay called me in 35 mins and walked me through the whole process. I appreciated this help as I was stuck. Products work fantastically and customer is happy
