Alright, let's talk about this purple Drain Hair Catcher. I snagged it to combat the ever-present hair clogs in my shower, and it's been a pretty solid addition.The Pros:* Effective Hair Catching:* This thing does its job! It catches a significant amount of hair, preventing it from going down the drain. That alone is a huge win.* Big and Sturdy:* It's definitely a good size, which means it covers a wide area and catches more hair. The silicone material feels sturdy and durable, not flimsy at all.* Flexible and Foldable:* The flexibility is great. It easily fits over both pop-up and regular drains. Plus, the foldable design makes it easy to clean and store.* Easy to Clean:* Because it is silicone, hair and soap scum rinses off of it very easily.* Color:* The purple color is a nice change from typical drain catchers, and makes it easy to see.Things to Consider:* Size:* While the size is generally a plus, it might be too large for very small or oddly shaped drains. This is a well-made, easy to use, easy to clean drain cover. The silicone is not flimsy, but rather heavy-duty, and appears as if it will last a very long time. It weighs 4.2oz, has a stainless steel metal top embedded in the silicone so there is no joint for water to creep into, and it folds open or closed easily. When drawing water for a bath with the hair catcher in the popped open position, the water tends to push it a little off the drain. To remedy this, I leave it flat when running the water as well as when sitting in the tub to ensure I don't bump the cover. Just before I let the water out, I pop it open and it works perfectly! When using the shower, the popped-up hair catcher is fine for water swirling around it without moving. A single piece of toilet paper removes any hair it has trapped--and I have not seen a single hair even begin to make it through the slots! A colored insert is included with the catcher showing its many attributes. Of the 5 colors, I chose green, and it is very close in color to the picture. (I would call it more of a teal). When storing it, the catcher can be closed flat, flipped over, and it becomes a flower-shaped decoration with a smiley face in the center. Handy, good-looking, wears well, and is a good value--just what I was looking for!

This product really keeps the hair from going down the drain. My wife has very long hair and now I see how we get alot of hair in the drain. However, when showering, the drain cover slows down the water from draining. It's like your feet are taking a little bath!

After multiple uses of having to use one of those drain snakes to unclog the bathtub, I decided we needed to find something to prevent the drain from clogging in the first place. There are 6 of us, including a dog, that wash in this bathtub. I wasn't sure if this was going to do the job but am pleasantly surprised that it did. I like how easy it is to clean; hair can be easily pulled away from the catcher. It's made of silicone, metal, and rubber and feels quite durable. I hope it lasts us for a long time.
