I only realized 2 days before Christmas that I didn't have any fancy plates as a result of dividing the house stuff after a relationship ended-- so these arrived in one night thanks to Amazon Prime and they are just right. They're heavy enough to compare to Crate and Barrel stoneware plates, but somehow just slightly lighter so I don't end up straining as much to carry them. Also, I don't like stoneware because of the metal+stone sounds, and this is my ideal: ceramic finish. Fit one large lamb shank and mash perfectly :)

They are a little larger than I thought they would be, but have used them many times. We make taco salads, and these work out great to hold all the ingredients and not be stuffed in a smaller bowl. I like a large salad bowl, and these did the trick. Very pretty pattern as well.

These are really pretty and very sturdy. The sturdiness makes them kind of heavy but they’re great for pasta. They’re pretty big too, be conscientious of the diameter. I really like them but not for every day use.

I get so many compliments on these plates/bowls/dishes. Originally, I purchased a set to put out food at my daughter-in-laws bridal shower. Then purchased a second set so when our kids returned home with their significant others we had enough to serve everyone. I have had so much positive feedback on these dishes. They are high quality and versatile as to their uses - as a dinner plate, pasta bowl, serving plate or bowl. Well worth the price and something I will purchase more of in the future as I now have a set of 8 but would like to have between 12 and 16.Update: I have purchased an additional set for when family come over. I use these for all sorts of things: serving dishes, every day plates, to set out a dish of snacks. They are beautiful and so thick. I seriously am planning to buy another set on top of the 2 I've already purchased. The pictures I've uploaded don't do these justice, but thought I would share.

Stylish and very useful for stews, pasta, or rice bowls with a sauce. The edges do chip, so be very cautious.

So pretty, easy to clean, generous size... You can carry or hold or serve the plate with food and the edge lip will not let the food spill onto the floor, nor fall on your lap while holding and eating in informal settings... Nice for a home buffet, the elderly, teens, worry-free serving and avoiding spills! ...My 4-piece set arrived with one plate shattered, even though they were carefully wrapped in packing foam sheets.

I searched and searched for this perfect plate. Nothing slips off of it because of the deep rim. Plus the flat portion is maximized so it has more flat surface area. Perfect for all users, but especially for Alzheimer’s patients that otherwise might spill their food. It’s pretty, and sturdy. They might not stack easily, and therefore may take up more height room in your cupboard, but is so useful that it’s worth giving up the extra real estate in the kitchen cupboard. It can be used for your regular dinners, including salad, pasta, soup, steaks, what ever! The flat surface is large enough to accommodate a steak, salad, and veggie all on one easy to use plate! This eliminates the use of extra side dishes. These plates are very useful, and exactly what I was searching for.

This is not delicate 'fine dining' tableware ... It's solid well made 'every day' tableware ... They should last for years if handled well ... You can feel the weight & durability when you pick one up ... They have a pattern around dish too Lots of different uses ... Personally I use them for actual dinner plates at times ... especially if I'm having a nice big salad or my partner (who eats for 3) has pasta ... Plenty of room to heap in the pasta! Rest of the time they are great as serving dishes for veggies potatoes salads bread & so on .... Storage wise they do fit in the standard kitchen cupboard where I store my other day-to-day tableware ... The door can close ... However they do not stack in the dishwasher really ... I decided to just hand wash them ... I mean it's not like they get any baked on food on them or get really dirty ... so it's no problem just to wash them by hand ... I do with a few other bits as well ... I'd recommend if this is the kind of thing you're looking for

These bowls are exactly what I was looking for. The pattern is lovely, the bowls are heavy, and they are not very delicate. The pattern on the back rubs off with one dishwasher wash - not a big deal for me, but it may probably bother some people. These bowls can also be used as serving bowls for appetizers as they are extra large. I hope I don’t get clumsy and drop one of these bowls ;-) I’m very happy with my purchase.Update: The only downside is the bowls take up all my dishwasher space. The don’t fit in to the smaller grooves, so when they are in the lower section, I can only fit a few saucers, and maybe some medium sized bowls. Still love these bowls though! I use them everyday.
