I had to use pliers to pry it apart (even though there is literally a sticker on there that says don't use pliers - I guess everyone has that problem). It snapped shut on my finger. It hurt, and it was tough to get my finger out. Once I finally got it apart, and on the window, it did clean the window, but after a change of the cleaning pads and three more tries, the window was so streaked that I decided to clean it the old-fashioned way - a rag and window spray, with a ladder for the outside. Don't waste your money - it is far too expensive for what it does.

I bought this double sided window cleaner to wash the outside of a fixed window in a high rise apartment building that I can't reach with a traditional squeegee. I have only used it once, so this review is based on first time use only. It only fell off twice, probably because I was going too fast. It works as promised though and cleans the window well. However, be aware of the limitations. No issues with the design or quality of this product. I think any other magnetic double sided washer would have the same draw backs. My application is probably the most challenging for this product. I cannot reach the outside window with my hand at all, so I'm totally relying on the washer to do the cleaning job. I can't reach to hand wipe any left over streaks. I have to reach my arm outside as far as it will go from an adjacent opening window about 2' away just to place the outside piece of the washer on the window and someone else has to hold the inside part of the washer on the inside window and guide me on where to place it so the magnets attract. I had to blindly push it onto the window the last few inches of my reach with my finger tips. If it were 1" farther away I wouldn't be able to reach. It does the job well in the center of the window, but it's hard to wipe the window edges with the squeegee side, so it leaves streaks about 1" out from all the sides. Maybe with more practice I could do better, but I don't seeing it being perfect. Then when I'm done washing the window, since I can't reach it I have to let it fall and retrieve it with the cord, so it leaves about a 6" x 6" area unwiped at the bottom corner where it fell off and couldn't be wiped. I bought this product because they only clean the apartment windows every 6 months, so in between washings they get pretty dirty and hard to see out of. Aside from the remaining streaky window edges, it does clean the center well so it achieves the purpose that I got it for in cleaning the center of the window so I can enjoy the view. Just be aware of this limitation if you have a window like mine that you cannot reach to easily.

Takes two people, one on outside and one on inside to place head. Keeps falling off even with strongest magnet. Good idea, but not functional

I purchased a house on a lake with an entire back wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. It was nearly impossible to get them streak free. I was amazed at how awesome this little device worked. Now, having said that, I haven't tried the dual sided cleaning yet because this windows are insulated and have a wide gap between them, but doing each side separately is a very small price to pay for such a great result.

Received the product. Directions were not great. Looks like a good bit of work to get it going. Sent it back.

Hadn't been able to clean, or get cleaned, two large panes of window for 5 years.....>So much easier to use than I thought it would be. I have Crimsafe flyscreens on my bedroom and kitchen sliding windows and therefore inaccessible to clean on the outside.>The 'Cleaning Plate' is narrow enough to fit behind the screened & sliding window, thereafter a slow, steady motion ensured a great result. The flexible 'blade' at the bottom ensures a wipe of excess water away from clean areas.>Adjustable magnet easy to use.>First clean was with pads soaked with a mild detergent /water mix.>Second clean - I then washed the dirt off the pads, re-wet with soapy water& re-cleaned the glass>Finish - when glass was dry, changed the pads & wet with Windowleen - fabulous finish.>Pads - reusable - placed in a laundry bag - washed with a wool wash in cold water & a bacterial rinse. Dried perfectly, laid flat, on a Microfibre cloth

I moved into a 100+ year old building and I'm pretty sure the windows had never been cleaned. Or at least, they were so dirty it felt that way. I got the KOKITEA Double-Sided Window Cleaner Glass Wiper pretty skeptical that it was actually going to work- but it does a decent job! It's a little hard to get the swiping motion down, there's a certain figure 8 strategy that works the best, took awhile to figure that out. The string that you put around your wrist is helpful because the magnets do sometimes come apart! So that helps ensure you don't hit someone on the head down below. The reason I didn't give 5 stars- it's hard to get the windows perfectly clean, the tool will leave streaks, even though it is still much cleaner than when I started. Also those magnets are REALLY powerful- be careful!

We live in a 4th-floor condo with the exterior of the windows having not been cleaned in at least 5 years. Then the exterior of the building was pressure cleaned with the wall dirt washing onto the windows making them extremely dirty. I am so happy to be able to say that this little tool did an awesome job. I used a general cleaner with the first wipe to get the first layer of dirt off and then used a window cleaner for a second wipe over for the final clean. If the windows were done annually I think one wash with window cleaner would have been enough. This little tool truly did the job for me. I used the S pattern as recommended, and the little squeegee took the streaks away and they look awesome. Our windows slide up so it was a little tricky for us to figure out how to get the outside pad on the upper window while the bottom window was open but with a little ingenuity we got it done. We have Florida impact windows and I used the 3rd magnet strength and it worked fine although 1 and 2 also worked. I moved the pad slowly so it wouldn't let go. It did let go twice when on 1 but the cord attached to my wrist saved it from dropping to the ground. I would highly recommend this tool if you can't reach your exterior windows.

It cleans my (double-glazed) windows inside and out. Previously cleaning the outside was extremely difficult and left unsightly smears. With this with a bit of skill, any smearing is much less noticeable even with the sun shining on it. Any smearing there is tends mostly to be at the edge of the window where I can easily reach and wipe manually. There are five setting to set the strength of the magnetic pull between the two halves, when they are in place. There is also a metal cord with which to secure the outside part of the device to something, so it does not just fall down to the ground if the megnetic pull were to fail to hold.
