Hitch Installation
Installation on Bolt-on Axle
The Bolt-on Axle has a hex nut on both sides.It is common on fixed gear bikes or e-ebikes. The included hitch fits the Bolt-on Axle with maximum 12mm diameter.
Installation on QR Axle
The quick release axle is the most common type of axle. It has a lever that clamps the axle in place with an acorn nut on the opposite end.
Standard Dropout
Most bikes have a standard dropout.They won't all look like this, but the key point to look for is a flat area around the axle where the Hitch can lay flush against the frame.
Hooded Dropout
Hooded dropouts have a protruding metal hood that extends around the top of the dropout.They can prevent the Hitch from lying flush against the frame. In this case, you might need an adapter.(sold seperately)
Choose the Right Size of Trailer
Measure Your Dog
- The body length (A-B) is measured from the breast bone to the tail. Include some, but not all, of the tail if it is long. For really thick, hard tails, you should measure more of the tail, or else it will whack on the trailer every time they wag their tail. To this, add approximately 2 inches (5cm) for small dogs and 4 inches (10cm) for larger dogs to get the length of the dog.
- The shoulder height (C-D) is measured from the withers (highest bony part of dog shoulder blades) to the ground.

Well-made, awesome little dog bike trailer very easy to assemble! ! Perfectly compatible with our electric bikes! ! Our dog has plenty of room. He loves this dog bike trailer !

So overall, this is a well built, great product. It does what it advertises however, the handle does not fit very tight and is quite loose and wobbles around a lot. it’s a very sturdy little trailer. I would suggest some sort of mat or cushion for your little dog go in there for his comfort.. my buyer beware part of this review is the seller will tell you in the ad that this is ebike friendly. I’m not sure what bike friendly and their eyes means my eyes that would mean that it is compatible with most ebikes and it is not. In the ad, they go into great detail about the different types of frames that this coupler will fit or not fit but what they failed to tell you is some E bikes have a larger size axle that their coupler simply will not fit on.. They are happy to send you one after the fact you find out it doesn’t fit as described.. to me. That’s a big one. That’s a few simple words to add into the ad product may require an adapter in order to fit some ebikes or better yet for a few pennies on a dollar include the adapters with the product with simple instructions of please use adapter that fits. Other than that, I do feel that this is a well-made product. It just needs a little more thought put into how you advertise it so that people purchasing. It will be aware that they may have to wait an additional week or longer for another part that doesn’t come with a product in order to work on your particular bike.

Love it!!! Waldo thinks it's his new car..lol!!! He runs and jumps right in :) it's lightweight yet sturdy and easy to push and maneuver. Waldo weighs 15 pounds and his sister is a 6 pound Yorkie.They both ride together with plenty of room. My only regret is we did not buy it sooner. The quality is great for the price. Makes our walks once again enjoyable 😊🐾🐾 🐶🐶 for all of us!!!

We are very pleased with our Doggyhut Bike Trailer & Stoller. It was easy to assemble. There was minor difficulty attaching Quick-Release front wheel. The bolt did not slide easily due to the holes not matching up better. However, with a bit of effort, I got it working. It now works fine. We use the Doggyhut primarily when traveling with our camper. We like the relative compact size. The quick release wheels, the removable handle, and the collapsible frame make it easy to stow in our mid-size SUV. We used it while attending the Florida RV Super Show and we used it while touring St. Augustine. We received many compliments from other dog owners. The larger rear wheels are very nice and better than a unit that is a stroller only with small wheels. The Doggyhut glides down sidewalks even with imperfections. The compact size with larger rear wheels and 360 degree front wheel make it very maneuverable as a stroller. Generally, it is a sturdy; however, one of the zippers on the vinyl front window came off track before we even used it. Luckily, there are two zippers at each end of the window, so we are careful not open the zippers all the way. We have not used it as a bike trailer yet, but plan to do so. We wanted a unit as compact as possible. The compact size means that there is only one small storage pocket. More storage would be nice, but I understand why there is not more storage space. Ideally, the handle would be 1 or 2 inches longer, but again we wanted a compact unit. We purchased this over Christmas to use on a 3 week camping trip to Florida. It worked wonderfully. We look forward to using it more. We highly recommend it.
