I'm reviewing the DP to HDMI adapter, not the cable. For what it's worth I dislike it when sellers combine products in the same listing if they aren't like "different colors or sizes of the same thing", as the reviews get skewed (they could sell a great cable and a crappy adapter, and get people to buy the crap because the reviews for the cable are good.)Now then... I'm looking at a picture of two adapters, that is the main picture presented. There is one adapter for 9 bucks. So the best this thing can do for me at this point is be competent. I'll have the opportunity to test it in a couple days, and if it's competent I'll come back and give it another star. But, seller, there are ways to show both ends of an adapter without a picture that shows two units.

This adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do but you should make sure that you know what that is. Just looking at the device, you would think that it has bi-directional support but that is not the case. This device will only convert a DisplayPort signal to HDMI. It will NOT convert HDMI to DisplayPort. The adapter also supports 4K at 60Hz. Cheaper adapters only support 4K at 30Hz which is garbage. This is a nice adapter in a small form factor. I prefer this option to buying a new cable although the price is probably about the same.

I received this item through the Amazon Vine Program and for the life of me, I cannot understand why this adapter won't work. I only own a 4 feet DP cable, but wanted to move one of my monitors to the other side of my room and didn't want to buy a whole cable when I already had a working HDMI cable that was long enough. Tried 4 different cables that all worked without the adapter. but nothing happened when trying to use with the adapter. Must have just been a dud and ultimately, I cannot recommend this item.

Desktop graphics cards tend to have lots of DisplayPorts and TVs tend to have none, which is kind of a pain. There are cables which do active conversion and they work well, but if you'd prefer to use your existing HDMI cables then this gives you an alternative. I plugged in a Dell S2721QS monitor to my AMD graphics card and got 4K @ 60Hz immediately, no problems, so it seems to be working just like it should.

The adapter feels solid and well made, and I appreciate that it’s a unidirectional connection, making it easy to set up without any confusion. It works perfectly straight out of the box, just plug and play. Plus, it handles 1080p at 120Hz flawlessly, which is ideal when I’m playing video games or working with higher frame rates. It's versatile and reliable for different tasks.

Worked perfectly for 1440p@120/144hz with VRR/freesync. I like that it doesn't have the stupid displayport hook buttons, and is a flat, hdmi style connector. No complaints whatsoever.

I needed an adapter to connect an external HDMI monitor to the DP port on a docking station. I installed this adapter and it worked just like it should...plug and play. Both connections were tight and hold fast. I very much like how compact this adapter is...no unnecessary wire. What else can I say...it works.
