Apparently, the glue that holds the magnet to the steels parts fails over time and the pole piece ends up displaced and crushes the ring on the diaphragm. I bought a two pack of these diaphragms in case I messed one up, but after watching Simply Speakers' tutorial video, I had this tweeter sounding like new in less than an hour. Very thankful for the easy and inexpensive fix.

The two diaphragms I received each measured 6.3ohm +/-.1, so quite well balanced. They seem to operate well, I've only got an hour or so on them so far, but I will keep the review up to date if I run into any issues! Otherwise, assume they function perfectly.I have heard that some aftermarket diaphragms for the K-77 tweeter have very low power handling, I'm not sure what these are rated for but generally they are about 2 watts rms.
