The house we purchased had a 1" diameter hole next to the kitchen faucet (it contained a small diameter spigot to fill water bottles and the sort). I wanted to put in a push button to control the garbage disposal, none would fit as they seem to all be 1-1/4" diameter. This little gem allowed me to wallow out the hole to accept the button assembly.I used a regular cordless Dewalt drill for the operation.

This is a one time use purchase, as I needed to enlarge a sink hole to fit a new faucet. Cut through the ceramic sink, over and inch thick, with ease.Note: This would not be recommended to start a new hole, as it needs a hole / opening to start

I live in a house that was built in 1857. So there's a lot of really old plumbing in here that was done over the years. I have a really beautiful antique sink that had an old metal drain which had corroded enough to the point where it just dissolved into nothingness... So long story short I had to replace the drain with a new one! After I cut the remaining parts off with my reciprocating saw, I tried to put the new drain into the hole at the bottom of the basin of the sink.... It did not fit! The hole was not quite circular and a hair too small... Definitely not the standard size used today in bathrooms.... So I had to buy this thing to shave off enough porcelain that the drain would fit through the hole in the bottom of the sink. It worked for this purpose. I don't know how durable it is or how much it would stand up to regular work. For this one single job it was great.

I had to move our kitchen faucet a quarter inch away from it's present location. I used an angle grinder for stability and would not recommend using the included adapter for a drill. It did a great job with no chips and was very easy to navigate with cutting away only the portion I needed. It does create a fine granite dust which I assume is bad so I wore a mask and put an exhaust fan in the window before starting. I would recommend someone with a shop vac stand nearby and catch the dust.
