I had a triple filter system piped in the garage that was becoming a hassle to refill my drinking water. I decided to replumb it to under my sink and needed to add a water filter faucet. I only needed a 1/2" hole for this project but decided to drill a 1.1" hole so that if I switched brands or decided to get a soap dispenser, the hole would be universal. Being a one time project, I didn't want to spend $40-$50 for the big box store diamond bit since this will likely be 1 time need. This sub $10 bit fit the bill perfectly. One caveat, this bit does not come with an attachment to put on a cordless drill. It has female threads so you will need an adapter if you go that route. Luckily, I noticed in the ad photos that they had it screwed onto the base plate of a grinder which I owned. After removing the grinding wheel, this screwed in perfectly. I started the cut on a 45 degree angle to cut a notch. If you go straight on, it will wobble and dance on the counter making a hack mess. After, I got a nice notch, I built a small pool of water around the circle with plumbers putty so the bit would stay cool with the pool of water. The bit when through like butter. I put very little weight on the drill and just let the diamond teeth do it job.In less than 2 minutes of drilling, I had a perfect hole. Highly recommended.

Only had to cut one hole but it worked great and probably would have lasted for many more. The last hole saw from another vendor barely lasted for one hole.

The bit worked great. Appears two holes through quarts didn’t affect the bit at all. Still looks great.

This worked great to cut holes for shower fixtures in porcelain tile. Be sure to start the hole at and angle until it cuts in the tile a bit. Once cut in, you should be able to lean it side to side to cut faster. I used water to keep it cool. I only expected to get a few cuts out of it but it still working well after six holes so it's an unexpected bonus!
