The instructions for this are nearly useless, but, it can be figured out. Any one fan can use up to 5A but the total draw from the board cannot exceed 9A, so really if you are using multiple fans, they can only realistically draw two or 3 amps each. This is fine all but the most power hungry performance cooler fans out there. The PWM gives of a tiny high pitch but nothing unbearable and if your hearing is at all compromised you probably won't hear a thing. The fans operate smoothly on this controller.

This fan controller has many uses but it took me awhile to get it set up properly in my testing. There is just enough information below the description to get you going (scroll down the page and you will see it). There are a few videos out there that will help too. Just do a general search and you'll find them. I cannot post links in a review.All of the connectors on this module are standardized so a PWM fan will directly connect to it. I tested it with computer fans. The only thing I would like to have seen is, since it can control 3 fans, it would have been nice if it could also monitor 3 temperature zones. That would have been sweet.Eventually, I'm going to use this with the main power supply of my model Railroad layout. Currently, the fan is always running and that gets annoying sometimes. Especially during low power usage when the fan does not need to run at all. This module will help me fix that issue.All in all, it works well so I give it 5-stars.

Fan controller works as its described and expected. I wish there was better documentation. This thing has a lot of capability but its hard to figure out quickly. There's some youtube videos and online documentation that is helpful.Quality seems good. Seems identical to another board I got from another vendor.

This 12V PWM fan speed controller works. It's a HW-585 clone. CPU/chip markings are obscured. Markings on the circuit board suggest additional, undocumented functions in excess of those usually available on a HW-585.
