I ordered rotors and pads for my 2013 Explorer. Unfortunately they did not fit and the return is less than helpful because the vendor sent one label but the shipment consists of two boxes. I have requested an additional label, waiting for their response.

If you have an Ecoboost Flex with the HD brakes, these are a direct fit. If you have a solid rear rotor, do not purchase this set. Overall brakes feel good. Just be aware when removing the Torx screws holding the rotors to the hubs, one of mine stripped. Make sure you have an extractor set on hand, just in case. Not a fault of the company sending the rotors. Partly Fords fault for using aluminum screws to hold steel items and mine, for not using a little more penetrating oil.

I ordered new pads and rotors for front and back of my 2019 Explorer Limited, installed all four in a few hours. I have to give credit to Detroit Axle for supplying springs that are identical to the OEM style, so fit perfectly into the caliper bracket. I've done brake jobs on several different vehicles through the years and ordering a kit often comes with some multi-purpose or non-specific pad and spring kit that don't always fit properly into the retainer slots on the caliper bracket, so you have to mess around trying different tricks, hoping you get it right so the pads pull back from the rotor. Great product, very good price, very quick shipping (arrived a week before promised), and they ship with both a small jug of brake fluid as well as a large can of aerosol brake cleaner, so the full kit, ready to go. Will definitely shop Detroit Axle again.

A value and certainly an upgrade. Ford wanted 1050 dollars to do a brake job on my 2016 explorer. They intended to just turn the old rotors. They are not drilled and slotted. The front brakes and rotors were an easy swap. However, the rears required a special tool and it was a major PIA. These are certainly and upgrade especially since the brakes the explorer comes with barely do the job. FYI to those attempting this the HD Rotors were standard after 2011. You'll have a choice when you go to buy the kit. Check for yourself. Also, a nice touch was the kit came with brake clean and some brake fluid. The only draw back is how they packed everything. The box was in excess of 100lbs. It came lightly damaged.

Trying to research parts for my 2014 Ford Flex Limited (ecoboost engine) with the 4500 lbs tow package is usually a hit or miss.These were a perfect match! I guess, I got the luck of the draw too, I ordered on a Thursday at 3:00pm (with a expected arrival, on the coming Tuesday) the parts arrived at 10:30 am the next day.Impressive!
