I have a 800-900lb 14h lean Arabian . It fit over the neck and shoulders but I couldn’t even zip it around her cheeks and throat . Seems to be good quality and is pretty thick material. It’s not quite as stretchy as other products that I have used.

The product itself seems nice but it did not even come close to fitting the horse it said it would. Tried putting it on my yearling instead, who is not close to a 66”, and it still couldn’t zip for him. So just way too small.

Looks nice but it goes into my mares eyes holes r spaced to close together and not big enough for eyes now I’m stuck with two I can’t use

This fit very perfectly and was durable but could not withstand the inevitable. One thing I didn't think about is if this somehow shifted and covered her eyes. Scratching on a tree, she managed to do just that. She promptly flipped out and this could not stand up to an 1100 lbs tantrum. It was literally shredded. That being said, I think that under different circumstances, this would be as durable as teh shoulder guard from teh same company. The belt is adjustable. My girl is turned out 24/7. I put this on her about 8 am and by lunch, it was toast. This is also not a very heavy fabric so even here in west central Florida, the last few weeks it has been 85-90 and it almost seems to wick away the moisture. I fully expected to see her drenched but not at all. i would absolutely by another one if she was not turned out all the time. Protects them from bugs and the sun. Very nicely made.

I’m hoping this helps someone with sizing and expectations. My horse is a 15 hand drafty built mustang. I ordered the large and while the neck was long and the shoulder was baggy, it barely fit his head. I only need this for a freestyle costume so no big deal, but I will say the eye holes are very small and would probably not be suitable for leaving on a horse all the time, if it shifts at all it could cover an eye and cause an accident. This good does not zip all the way down, it has a chest piece that is solid and goes between the legs with a loop for the elastic surcingle to go through. So you will be putting the whole thing over your horses head every time. My mustang handled it very well but want to make sure people are aware of this, vs other styles of hoods that don’t need to be put on over the head like that. The quality seems average to me, it’s Lycra so of course it is not durable and is suitable for stalled or trailered horses to stay clean before a show, or like me using it for a costume, regardless of the brand of good you buy, That’s not going to change. This is basically a swim suit for your horses head, neck, and shoulders for those that don’t know what Lycra is. The large would be a perfect fit for a QH or Thoroughbred of larger stature. But for thick necked, big headed stout ponies in the 15 hand range, the large will work if you are ok with the neck being too long, causing lots of wrinkles. I would not try a medium on my gelding or there’s no way the neck or head would fit.

I have a 15.2 appaloosa mare who tends to rub her mane every summer. I bought this slinky to have her wear under her fly sheet that has a hood just for some extra protection. It works great and fits great. She ripped a hole in the chest of it from snagging on the fence but that’s not a manufacturing I problem. I will be buying another when this one is worn out. Hoping it will last me through a few months.

I think the quality is over all good... however.... it fits a short necked qh funky... that’s not the biggest problem... the biggest one is that the eye holes are wayyyyyyy to small
