These OEM plugs are a perfect replacement for the OE Toyota plugs for a '99 4Runner 3.4 at a slightly lower cost.

1st these will work on 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5 supercharger engine. Even though the amazon fit says it won’t. The plugs pulled were an exact match except, The original plugs specified Denso Japan plugs. The Amazon Denso plugs probably come from China. Which leads to why I gave only 3 stars. Normally these plugs are pre-gap and I believe the Denso web site says not to gap the dual plugs. But all the plugs came bent on the right pin, out of the box (factory defect). Gap was .040 on left and .045 on the right. I had no choice but to carfully gap (wire gap tool) to factory specs .043. Next time I’ll look into NGK plugs.

Look identical to Denso Toyota. And for just over 5$ Canadian each is better than 15$ each at toyota

Correct spark plug for any Toyota 3.4 liter 5vz-fe engine. This happened to go in a 1999 4Runner Sport and also a '95 pickup with a 5vz-fe swap. These plugs do need to be gapped; they are not per spec at arrival. If you have a spark gap tool or a shim set, break it out, set it for 0.043" and off you go. If you don't have such a tool or set, make sure you order one.Performance is great with these. They take a 16mm deep socket. I installed these to about 13 ft-lbs after hand-tightening. Great product, and I'll continue to order these whenever my vehicles need a new set.

Replaced very worn plugs in my 1998 V-6 4Runner with these identical new ones and saw a significant improvement in performance.Would have given 5 stars but I found that most of the new plugs needed to have the gaps adjusted quite a bit. Not a difficult job, but took some time since they are dual electrode type.

I have a 2001 Toyota 4runner and despite what Amazon said, it is the correct OEM plugs for this vehicle. The "check fit" is mostly wrong about 50% of the time, I wish they would fix that. Great plugs, my truck runs a lot smoother at iddle and much more resposive. Now granted it is the first tune up at 95K, and the tips were "cone shaped", but the point is that it does make a huge difference, even though it was running fine before. If you are getting to the 100K mark like I did on my vehicle I suggest you get a set of NGK spark plug wires as well, and you only need to order 1 set. The drive side has the standard long plugs, the passenger sides plug directly into the 3 ignition coils. The wires are blue with 3 sets of numbers just like the OEM: 1, 3, and 5. Just do them one at a time, but I went ahead and diagram them just in case someone needs them. On the driver side this is the cylinder sequence from front to back : 5, 1, 3. Passenger side the front to back sequence is: 1, 3, 5. A few of the reviews recommended using anti-sieze, I also recommend that, for a few bucks it is safer in the long run. My vehicle never had a tune up and a few of the plugs were a bit tight, so I was gentle as much as possible. Couple of quick tips, I hope it helps. There is a bracket on the driver side, far back plug, the top is a 12mm bolt, the bottom is 13mm. My Craftsman set of 5/8" will not adhere to the plug after it is loose from the threads. So I just got a piece of wire about 8" long, and bend the tip about 1/4" at a 90 degree and used that to "fish" out the spark pugs. If you have one of those "claw" device it would work better, but I didn't feel like getting one. Simple to install, just got to get over all the other crap they put over to cover the accesibility.

Ive come back to these plugs after trying different more expensive spark plugs in the past and had issues like rough idle at time and seemed less power. Then after having a Check Engine light come on and a bubby suggested I go back to OEM...all I did was replace my expensive plugs with these OEM stock plugs. Problems I had over the years trying different plugs during tune ups and OEM work the best. Lesson Learned. Over 200k and it feels almost like new.
