product was as described, the fit was perfect and easy to install, and comes with a small pack of water lube. The Design was Delta, the price is what it is, i had no leaks after installation. and the quality seemed a little less than the one i removed but it worked the same. Alas hot water once again!!!

I've purchased 4 of these for the same shower, and Delta graciously replaced a couple for me as well. The cartridge has a design flaw. There is a super-fine screen deep inside the cartridge, that cannot be cleaned or back-flushed. This means that the tiniest amount of scale or rust in your water line can ruin the cartridge. Unless you want to re-pipe your house, you can do what I detail below. It's not complicated, I'm just being super detailed to save you any trouble -Buy the 10 pack of "304 Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Filter Disc Flat Shape Mesh Screen Various Size(12mm(100)10pcs) from TAMSOI on Amazon.Get a small bottle of Gorilla Glue superglue.Turn the cartridge so that the water inlets are facing up.Practice setting a screen in each of the openings. (It's not hard.)You'll see that they fit just below the surface in the bevel part of the black tubes.Once you're confident that you can set the screens in the openings, glue them in place.(Be careful and don't drip superglue into the inner part of the cartridge.)Put a small dab of superglue in the black plastic area where the bevel is.Do this in two locations opposite each other, then set the screen in place. Now do the other screen.Give them a few minutes to dry, then install the cartridge. Now when the debris comes through your lines, it will stop at the screen. You can pull the cartridge out, clean the screens and flush the lines, and reinstall it.This has already saved me at least $500 dollars.

It was very easy to install and after six months of daily use, it is still working very well. It operates a little bit more temperamental than the OEM valve, but for the price, I am extremely satisfied with the operation of this product.

Unit had corrosion on it and water poured out. Black plastic piece was broken at the tab.Update: Amazon sent me a second unit that was brand new.

When operating the cartridge works very well and controls the temperature despite fluctuations in the flow rates of the two supplies. The major problem I had was replacing the cartridge after 15 years or so of operation. The problem was that I could not withdraw the cartridge because calcium deposits had cemented it into the outer sleeve. I had to replace the rough in unit as well as the cartridge. So if you are planning on replacing the cartridge after many years of service be warned that it might take you a lot longer that you anticipated.

I recently had to swap out my old Delta faucet cartridge with this one. So far, it has been a reliable replacement. The performance is spot-on; water flows smoothly, and I've had no issues with leaks or drips. Installation was a breeze, even for a DIY novice like myself. The value for the price is reasonable, and considering the headache it saved me from potential plumbing disasters, it was money well spent.

As others have said, this can be a pain to remove and you may have to use a drill to break the internal pieces apart. Also, the quality of these are not same as the 2010 versions. Much more plastic on these. That being said, once in, they work great and shower is like new.PS, tried the warranty thing that other have mentioned, but you have to be the original purchaser.

When you step up to the Brizo faucet you get the best cartridge on the market. It has much more brass than the regular Delta faucets by far. It is just as easy to install and set the temperature. It also has a much higher price. The ceramic disc last much longer

This OEM shower cartridge was an exact replacement for the one in my Delta 18T shower control. It was a reasonably straight-forward process to replace the old cartridge, with the caveat that it was a BEAR to pull the cartridge out of the housing: apparently the o-ring seals on the rear of the cartridge were madly in love with the sockets in the housing and they held on for dear life. It took a LOT of force to pull the cartridge out; so much so, in fact, I broke the original cartridge in half, and had to resort to using long-nosed pliers to finally wiggle out the remainder.Once the remnants of the original cartridge were removed it was a quick job to lubricate the o-rings on the new cartridge, slide it into position, and replace the trim and handles. After a bit of tweaking the temperature control stop all was well.Just FYI, I discovered Delta will provide a free replacement for a defective original cartridge; too late for me, but maybe that will help the next person ...

Had a broken shower valve and tried to source this part locally but price or delivery timeline wasn’t great. Some similar items are available on Amazon but a few had mixed reviews. This was a genuine Delta part, arrived the next day and was a straight swap replacement. Very happy.

My old Delta RP47201 cartridge cracked and this product was the exact replacement. Many places charge $300 or more. When I pulled out the old cartridge, the black plastic liner stayed in the pipe, had to use a torch to soften it up to get it out. Once it was out and the pipe cleaned, the replacement cartridge went in perfectly and functioned fine.

Was not exactly the same dimensions as the original Delta unit. Installed and removed, then reinstalled. The temperature control shaft was slightly shorter than the one being replaced. This caused the fixture parts to not fit perfectly. I was able to adjust the set screw and a metal outer sleeve to make it look satisfactory
