This carabiner has a sturdy build that makes me confident it can handle the rated load. The latching barrel rotates smoothly and snaps back quickly when arm clicks into closed position. The knurls on the barrel are in a good position to allow rotation and pull open for single hand operations. I have full confidence in using this for both my safety harness and winch connection needs.

Great quality for the money! This is a very sturdy carabiner! The locking function works great! The size is on the large size and it is perfect for my tree stand. I use this to climb the tree and elevate my equipment up and down the tree, including the stand!Holds up to 200 lbs without any issues!Highly recommended!

I've picked up a couple of these and they work remarkably well. I got them for my tree gear simply due to how large they are for ease of use with gloves on. The quick-lock on them is easy to manage with work gloves. They work great. As far as the weight load goes, I have no complaints so far. I haven't dropped tons of weight on them yet, though they're doing well with holding some pretty large tree limbs when being cut. I'm quite pleased with them overall.

Super easy to use, nice and smooth. Really really strong. Does exactly what it should and I have zero complaints.

I have other rated carabiners that I use for my aerial yoga rig, but this beats them all. Not only is it bigger but it is a good buy by weight being over half a pound. It feels extremely rugged and sturdy, I have no doubt that it would hold my weight and several other people as well. Unlike my others, this is steel and not aluminum, hence the difference in weight. I don't know that I'd use this where weight can be an issue in packing, but if weight doesn't matter, then this is a great piece of equipment.

The carabiner is hefty, certainly steel. It is marked and apparently EN rated. By the card and the listing, this carabiner model seems to have passed some quality/certification testing, though use your own judgement on this. The gate is auto/spring closing, (but not double locking for ANSI). If you’re handy, the carabiner can be opened with one hand, thumb spin.D-shaped to keep the ropes on the strong side/reduce gate-side tension.Bottom Line:Quality made, and apparently tested. Good addition to the (non-commercial) fall protection kit.

So often advertisers use photos that make their product seem bigger than it is. Not so in this case. This thing is huge, with plenty of room for your ropes. Super sturdy as well, with smooth hinges and twist lock.Do note that this is heavy -- unlike some that are made of high-grade aluminum, this is made of steel. Stronger than aluminum, but much heavier. If you don't mind the extra weight and you're looking for something that feels like it will hold up to serious punishment and serious weight, this one is just like it's color. Gold.

I am not a certification lab so the 45KN claim is one I cannot verify. Since climbing gear tends to be something you want to trust, I cannot claim this will do what it says, BUT I also have no reason to believe they are lying about the rating. What I can say is that it feels like a seriously robust piece of equipment. Anyone who has held a non-climbing carabiner at any point will notice just how much more trustworthy this feels. It is heavy, solid, and the movement of the lock is smooth. I would definitely trust it to hold some serious weight (e.g., connecting a rope around a load to a block and tackle rope). I just don't know enough to verify the claims of it being certified for 45KN.If you want a decent carabiner that can take some weight, or you are willing to confirm the certification claims, this feels like a great option. Just know that I have not tested it in a controlled setting, so this is my opinion and not advice.
